Gwyneth Paltrow in Sheer Lace Antonio Berardi: Love It or Hate It?

Gwyneth Paltrow confidently walked the Parisian red carpet at the premiere of her movie Two Lovers. Admit it: She took a risk wearing this Antonio Berardi sheer lace dress from his Spring '09 collection. Clearly we can see her panties and bra, but since that's the point of the frock, she doesn't seem to mind.

Her black and white booties match her dress so perfectly, you would think they were made by the same designer. Negatory, they're Rupert Sanderson's Kit Kat shoe boots ($1,100). A diamond necklace and earrings lend shine and sophistication to the look. What do you think? Did Gwyneth shut it down or did she reveal too much?

Victoria Beckham is no stranger to the dominatrix trend, but she took the look one step further at the launch of her new fragrance with husband David Beckham in NYC. While David picked a pinstripe suit, Victoria put on Antonio Berardi leather legging-style boots. To maintain her signature posh quality, she finished the look off with a fitted gray boatneck mini dress. What do you think? Does her fusion of swank and ferociousness work, or is she trying too hard?

Knits always feel right fireside. Fall's knit parade keeps things interesting with new silhouettes, pops of color, and dramatic styling. Missoni, adored for its signature knits, threw this tunic on Freja (left) atop colorful layering. Duly noted. It looks nonchalant and studied - how do they do it? For something more shocking, dig Rodarte's spiderweb knits that had everyone talking. Knit me off a piece of that.

Modeling Takes Beauty . . . and Mad Skills

Who says models are all beauty and no brains? Okay, I can't vouch for their brains, but I can prove that they have some mad skills. Wearing what looks like a suffocating bag around your face and having to walk down a long runway takes precision. Many models trip, even without such an obstacle, so I give the models who walked the Junya Watanabe Fall '08 show in Paris some respect. It looks like Paris and London, namely the shows of Watanabe, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, and Gareth Pugh, proved to be the most taxing for the models. Then again, signing on to work with such avant-garde designers, they probably expected a bit (okay, a lot) of craziness. Could you do it?
