If I didn't already plan my Halloween costume this year – I'm going to be a mermaid — I would totally be a cancan girl. But hey, there's always next year, right? In case you didn't know, cancan dancers first derived from Paris in the mid 1800s.

Three, four, better lock your door. We all know it, we all loathe it, in that thrilling, freaky kind of way. I grew up with the Nightmare on Elm Street films — would you believe I have the entire DVD box set?

I used to think wearing yellow and black would make me look like a bumble bee, but Demi Moore has proven me wrong. The actress attended The Joneses premiere at the Toronto Film Festival looking super flirty in a yellow silk ruffled dress, sleek Brian Atwood pumps, and a matching clutch. Her simple styling skills prove that the two hues can look harmonious, not dissonant, together.

Chunky chains have since evolved from their days on Mr.T's neck to evoking a more polished, punky character. For all you good girls looking to add a little badass to your ensemble, adorn your collarbone with layered oversized chains. Hipsters, contrast your destroyed jeans and vests with a sleek gold chain bracelet.

Her navy scoop tank is the perfect pairing because it adheres to the chic black-and-blue trend.

My daily routine of perusing Net-A-Porter led me to something so simplistically new: the TTD, also known as the top tunic dress. However, I must give credit to Roland Mouret for this genius idea. The TTD is pretty much three pieces in one: a top when tucked into pants, a tunic paired with leggings, and a dress — rad.

Here's my big problem: I really want a fresh double ring — I firmly believe double the ring, double the fun. But, as you know, I spend my days typing. Would it be totally dumb for me to purchase the novelty ring even though I can't wear it the majority of the time?

Join Heidi and the snake chain gang. We've seen actual snakes on jewelry for a while now, but let's regress. The flat and slithery chain is possibly the sexiest chain out there.

I live in my tunics during Summer. They're perfect for throwing on over a bikini and look even better when they're wrinkled from the sun and surf. I adore the medallion print on this Tory Burch Medallion Stephanie Tunic ($395), because it gives off a chic yet exotic aura.
