All-Weather Face Palette

When I think "weather girl," I think cutesy, overly made-up TV personalities. But the beautiful, '70s-era earth tones in this limited-edition Weather Girl Palette from Benefit Cosmetics are anything but tacky. Rather, the trio of lip colors and three eye shadows are meant to be layered on "for a look that's as unpredictable as the weather."

The adorable package-taking its inspiration from a retro TV set-contains three lip creams in champagne, nude, and rose, which can be worn separately or mixed and matched together. The same goes for the shimmery shadows in beige, medium brown, and deep bronze. Though the earth tones work well for Fall, they're light and subtle enough to be worn in the summer, too. Color Stains Make Me Happy

Although at first I was hesitant, because they looked kind of messy, I am completely in love with Cheek and Lip Stains. They are so sheer and natural looking, you almost don't need any other makeup. Great for Summer and Early Fall!

Benetint Cheek and Lip Flush - Celebrating thirty years of fame, this is the creme of the crop and one of the originals. It's available for $28, here

It's Like a Push-Up Bra for Your Lashes...

This is the sentence that Benefit Cosmetics uses to describe their latest mascara, Get Bent. In my ongoing quest for the perfect mascara, I am always interested to hear about any hot new concepts, especially from one of my favorite brands. This one, which was featured in both Glamour and Lucky this month, is special in that its angled brush lifts and curls lashes, much like an eyelash curler would.

This product literally just hit the counters this week, so I have not tried it yet, but will be doing so soon. I will be sure to report back! You can try it too for $19.00, available here

Be a Weather Girl

As you know, I am a big fan of Benefit Cosmetics. I am completely obsessed with their Bag Gal Lash mascara and their fabulous new Her Glossiness Lip Gloss, among others.

My latest find is this limited edition lip gloss and eye shadow fall color palette called Weather Girl.

Fabulous New Find - Benefit Speed Brow!

I have what one might call, "unruly" brows, but up until recently have relied on my twice-monthly brow wax and trim to keep them in shape. Last time I was at Benefit, however, they sold me this awesome stuff called Speed Brow.

In about three minutes, you can define, tint and tame your brows with this fabulous stuff. It comes in three shades, including clear. It sells for $16.00 and can be purchased here.

The Quest for the Perfect Mascara

For my entire makeup-wearing life, I have been searching for the perfect mascara. I don't think my requirements are any different than anyone else's. I want something that is easy to apply, provides some lengthening and most importantly, won't bleed down underneath my eyes and leave dark circles.

I started out as many teenage girls do, with Clinique's Naturally Glossy, then moved to Lancome's Defincils, then to Bobbi Brown's Everything Mascara and then even to Maybelline's Great Lash. These were all fine and most people rave about them, but I was never 100% satisfied.

Currently I am using Benefit's BADgal Lash and I must say that it might just be my favorite so far. I will keep you posted.

I'd love to know if you have found the perfect mascara and if so, please share!
