Back in June, when I met Donna Karan, she did a lot of shoulder talk. Her gorgeous Fall collection consisted of two shoulder opposites: the structured shoulder and the cold shoulder. We've been seeing a lot of shoulder love thanks to celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Rihanna and due to designers Balmain and Marc Jacobs. The '70s-inspired cut is ideal for sophisticated nighttime festivities, and I love how it instantly elongates legs! For example, this Black Halo Strapless Jumpsuit ($390) can be accessorized with a fun belt for a snazzier look or à la carte with decadent baubles. The options are endless, but sadly the price is too much too handle.

This Forever 21 Trouser Jumpsuit ($30) is much more reasonable. The sweetheart neckline is a nice detail and it also comes with a belt - what a steal. Word of advice: When wearing pant jumpsuits, lean toward a looser, leaner fit.
