Su Casa member Kimpossible finally got around to updating her kitchen, or at least starting the process, after three years on the back burner. She began with the easiest, and often the most effective change, paint! As you can see, her wallpaper was dated and really didn't do much for the room. So, a warm coat of chocolate brown paint came to the rescue, and made a drastic difference. She also added some counter stools to match, a shelf for spices, and a window valance. A sandstorm hit the Golden Globes red carpet and now it's attacked neonbee. What I'd like to point out here is that beige hearts brown. Beige, being a neutral color, needs a rich hue like brown to plush it up. And I love how she belted her wrap cardigan for added interest. Smart thinking!

Dress Me Up: Full of Fall

Donna Karan's Fall collection is the epitome of Autumn. Warm browns, vivid rust, olive green, terra cotta, mustard, and burgundy were the plush colors the designer used to spice up her line. Now is the perfect time to draw inspiration from it and fill our closets with similar pieces. You can even get inspired from the changing colors of the leaves outside. Stick to one or two colors at most. I've found that gray tights are the perfect accent to any autumnal color. If you're still frazzled, study the Fall collections, see my suggestions below, and be full of Fall.

I don't have a lot of brown in my closet, so it impresses me when someone pulls the color off right. Jezrel chose head-to-toe brown for a tea party she recently attended. Say, doesn't she look as sweet as brown sugar? What really solidifies the look is her generous use of gold accessories. Brown and gold: a match made in fashion heaven.

The Lucky Magazine party brought out a lot of stylish actresses, including Gabrielle Union, clad in a rich sequined Foley + Corinna dress (the soiree was dually for the launch of the label's resort collection). Bobbi Brown has her heart in the right place this Fashion Week. Not only has her company long supported coronary disease awareness group The Heart Truth, but this year she's coming out with a limited-edition Heart Truth palette ($25), as well. We love the message, the tagline (Listen to Your Heart), and the fact that for a reasonable price you get three eye shadows, two lip colors, and a goes-with-everything gloss. Bobbi Brown will also be sponsoring The Heart Truth's celebrity-studded Red Dress Fashion Show, which will take place at the beginning of NYFW, on Feb. 8. So look out for the show, and be sure to give the palette a once-over before it sells out.
