There's nothing more enticing than a sexy vintage vixen, and who better to show off that notion than Aussie hottie Catherine McNeil. For Vogue Australia's September issue, McNeil played the star in a throwback spread dubbed "Pretty Baby" by Max Doyle. Inspired by the '50s, McNeil gave us a heavy dose of sultry old-school style with a modern twist wearing leopard print corsets, plaid skirts, cropped leather pants, and creepers from designers such as Givenchy, Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton, and The Row. All we need are some rockabilly tunes, and we're set!

For Fall '10, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci decided to stir the pot by featuring a transgender model in his ad campaign. Joining the top model ranks with Mariacarla Boscono, Joan Smalls, Ming Xi, Catherine McNeil, and Malgosia Bela - we love her pink hair - is Riccardo's personal assistant, Lea T. (previously known as Leo, here in the red lips). "She’s always been very feminine: superfragile, very aristocratic," said Tisci, who also noted Lea T. will be starting a new career in veterinary medicine in Milan. What are your thoughts on this feminine-masculine dichotomy?

Who Wore It Better? Louis Vuitton Moody Floral Frock

I was thoroughly smitten by the way Leighton Meester worked her Louis Vuitton Resort moody floral frock at Paris Fashion Week. I loved how she topped it with a vest, a belt, and wore dressy socks with sandals. Aussie model Catherine McNeil must have loved it too because she wore the same dress to a party at the LV store in Melbourne. Instead of a vest, however, Catherine topped hers with a sharp black blazer, and and finished the look with peep-toe boots and a bright pink LV clutch. Both ladies look stylish in moody florals, but who wore it better?

Models are always welcomed at Met's Costume Institute Gala, but since last night's exhibit was all about them, they felt way more at home. Current models like Hana Soukupova, Coco Rocha, and Isabeli Fontana mixed and mingled with classics like Stella Tennant, Alek Wek, and Maggie Rizer, as well as old-school Supers Amber Valletta, Kristen McMenamy, and Nadja Auermann (left). It was a site to be seen; one that melted my heart. Every one of them ruled, and one young blond model even came on the arm of a Hollywood actor! Let the model mania begin . . .

Doesn't this happen to you all the time - you're lounging around a beach in a ball gown? OK, chances are it doesn't, but it has happened to Dolce & Gabbana's Cruise 2009 models Claudia Schiffer, Catherine McNeil, and Maryna Linchuk. While overly baked beach-goers fry in the sun, the pale (and pissed!) models sit around in their fancy frocks and tuxedo suits. The juxtaposition of the beach and the formal pieces make this one eye-catching campaign. It caught me off guard when I first saw it. Do you think these are effective or plain silly?
