Battle of the Catwalk: Stampede vs. Solo Strut

I remember it like it was yesterday - when Dolce & Gabbana's Spring '10 models stampeded down the catwalk, I was mesmerized. One model is great, but a herd of them? Stunning. Likewise, at the TCN show at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week yesterday, another stampede took place (top left), albeit much more modest than Dolce & Gabbana's. It might not have been as powerful in number, but it still had the same wowing effect. But not every designer is into the catwalk stampede - while it's fun to look at, it makes it harder to focus on the specific pieces. So tell me, which do you prefer - the stampede or solo strut? Kate Moss is one of the shortest famous models at 5'6 1/2. Really only Devon Aoki is shorter at 5'5. Still, her uniquely gorgeous face and waif body put her on countless catwalks in the '90s. These days, we get no shortage of Kate in ad campaigns, but I've missed her dearly on the runway. Here, she struts her stuff on the runways of Anna Sui, Bella Freud, and Versace to Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir." Ferocious! Anything she lacks in height she makes up for with her flirty demeanor and sexy dancing. One of my favorite tidbits is when Kate looks down and quickly up at the camera in a shy but sensual way. Oh, and take note of how back in the '90s, photographers used to be runway-side. Much more glamorous, right?

We always love a good airport-chic ensemble, and Victoria Beckham's outfit at LAX yesterday definitely made the cut. She opted for a short-sleeve maroon sweater by Miu Miu, which she paired with a navy plaid skirt. She polished it off with black tights, superhigh booties, and her daughter Harper Seven in her arms! Victoria made her way to NYC from LA to get ready to show two collections at Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham and Victoria Victoria Beckham.
