Roberto Cavalli is the newest addition to the league of designers who debut collections for H&M around the winter holiday season, a league which includes Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, and Viktor & Rolf.
Cavalli's H&M collection, which features 20 menswear pieces and 25 womenswear pieces, including lingerie and matching accessories, promises to be full of his signature vivid prints and striking colors, all for a fraction of their normal price. The collection debuts in 200 H&M stores worldwide on November 8.

Just a day after saying he doesn't pay attention to costs, Robert Cavalli has announced he is starting a made-to-measure service in a special private space above the Rue Saint-Honoré store called Roberto Cavalli Saint-Honoré. Well-to-do clients can now order handmade wedding, cocktail, and evening dresses, starting at $41,950 for a cocktail dress. But Cavalli is not going into the couture business; this service is simply an extension of his current red carpet and special events offerings.

Yoox.com is using its established shopping power to bring some heavy hitters into the world of e-commerce. Last week, we heard Roberto Cavalli was launching a shopping site powered by Yoox in late November. The whole Cavalli world will be up for grabs: men- and womenswear, watches, eyewear, pets, and underwear, all starting with the Fall 2009 season.

Is there anything Roberto Cavalli doesn't do these days? Besides putting his name on a cell phone, vodka, Coke bottles, and nightclubs, the designer has now designed a credit card. A MasterCard to be exact.

November 8 may be a ways away, but the first photos of Roberto Cavalli's collection for H&M are already making an appearance. These specific pieces are a bit more toned down than I was expecting from Mr. Cavalli - there's no zebra print to be seen yet - but there is the requisite leopard-bibbed shirt, and a giraffe jacket can be seen in the background.
There's also a great little black trench, and Cavalli accessorizes with cigar hanging out of his mouth: all the better to work with, I guess!

It's been a busy week for Roberto Cavalli! The Fab ad campaign for his collaboration with H&M appeared earlier this week, and now the lookbook for the entire collection has surfaced. As expected, leopard spots, zebra prints, and sequins are all over, and the color palette stays in the black, white, and gold range.

Is it me or does Kate Moss look extra beautiful in this campaign? The ad, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, captures the flawless Super wearing an array of the designer's tantalizing, Luxotica frocks and separates, looking undeniably glamorous. I love how the rich, tropical background complements Cavalli's lush animal prints and sensual palette.

Roberto Cavalli is synonymous with nightlife: bold animal prints, party-ready dresses and gowns, and of course, lots of glamour. When it was announced that he is doing a holiday collection for H&M, I hoped to see all three. I'm happy to say it looks like I won't be disappointed; if these ads for the collection are any clue, there will be more than enough glitz and glamour to go around — at affordable prices, too!

Roberto Cavalli's Fall ad campaign is a scene we're all too familiar with: paparazzi shots inside nightclubs. Models Isabeli Fontana (a Cavalli favorite; she was in this Fall '09 campaign, too) and Karen Elson reenact today's celeb craze inside the El Morocco nightclub in NYC. Photographer Steven Meisel, whose first time it was working with the designer, was there document the chaos.

Cavalli's moody prairie Fall collection didn't float my boat, but his flavorful Spring collection sure does. I know designers feel the pressure to switch things up, but when your forte is mad prints and dramatic cuts, your fans tend to lean on you for such splendor. Cavalli delivered the goods, while showing some new angles. From frilly cocktail dresses to daring black gowns, Cavalli brings the heat.
