Nudes have been a big trend throughout the Summer with many celebrities stepping out in the neutral shade. It looks set to continue through to the Spring as many of the major design houses featured the shade on the catwalk last month. Enter into the world of Rihanna. Since 2005, the Barbadian beauty caught my attention with her catchy songs, and even more so, her megawatt style. When Rihanna first hit the scene, she stayed within the sexy singer realm via colorful body-con frocks and separates. As the years went along, she took a turn towards high fashion. After attending numerous runway shows, Rihanna developed an edgier sense of dressing - who can forget those star shaped pasties - and started donning clothes and accessories from the likes of Chanel, Alexander Wang, and Rodarte, to name a few. Chanel's Barn Bonanza!

Karl does country. It's impossible to guess Karl's next move. And who would have thought it would be to the barn? His Spring collection, replete with stars and spectacles, lightened the mood. The clothes were frilly, feminine, and colorful, adorned with thematic accessories like Chanel clogs, flowers in the hair, and drippy jewels. Prince was there - random - and so were Chanel devotees Rihanna, Claudia Schiffer, Dasha Zhukova, and Clemence Poesy. With Karl playing a part, and Lily Allen serenading, it looked like a thrilling fashion hoedown.

As far as Fall nail polish trends are concerned, I foresee lots of hot pinks, mushroom tones, smoky metallics, burnt oranges, deep, intense greens, and the return of purple - but with a little less smoke and a little more attitude. As far as textures go, think mattes, creams, and brushed, velvety finishes. But, if you're a fan of the shimmer, don't fret. There's plenty of sparkle to go around. Like most makeup collections, nail polish colors take inspiration straight from the runways, and since nails are a fashion accessory, after all, many of these recently launched polish shades come straight to us from the Fall catwalks. Let's just say I'm not bored.

Unfortunately Diane's promotional tour for Inglourious Basterds is over - but now we can admire her disheveled WWII glamour in the actual movie. You know I was following her, eying her every fashion move. And what a delight it was. Diane is self-styled, lest we not forget she is close friends with Karl, so it's no surprise she always looked unique and polished. Sneak Peek! Coco Before Chanel

You saw the movie trailer, now it's time to get up close and personal with scenes from the upcoming Coco Before Chanel. Fun fact: Keira Knightley was originally offered the role of Madame Chanel, but French actress Audrey Tatou ended up the star. But if you ask Karl, he prefered Penelope Cruz. No matter, because judging from the movie stills, Tatou is exceptional at portraying fashion's most celebrated designer. The way she wears that bowler hat, the pearls, that signature Chanel tweed is magical. I can't wait to see her come to life on-screen. A US date has yet to be announced, but the film debuts in France and Belgium Apr. 22. Get a sneak peek now.

2009 Fall Couture: Chanel

As an ode to simple elegance, Karl kept his Chanel Fall couture collection long and lean with sophisticated strapless gowns, classic suiting, and highly embellished frocks. The designer's play on peek-a-boo with an abundance of mesh, lace tights, and high/low hemlines shows off legs in a slightly naughty manner. Sequins and beading also made an appearance in the form of glittering dresses, which were reminiscent of the '80s and '90s. For color, Karl kept it simple playing with gorgeous jewel tones and noir. While this ivory and black tiered dress does not blow me away, it's still beautiful. Thoughts?

2009 Autumn Couture: Chanel

Couture season kicked off earlier this week as shows for Dior and Armani Prive have already taken place and last night was the turn of Chanel. Rumours about Karl Lagerfeld leaving the fashion house seemed to have died down for now as he presented his latest couture collection at the Grand Palais in Paris. When asked about his potential retirement Karl insisted that, "He was going to die with his boots on". Here are his latest creations – don't forget to let me know what you think!
