Kristin Chenoweth attended the New York Opera Spring Gala in a long, understated, and very elegant black gown. She kept her hair simple and sleek in a low ponytail. And then she added this big choker around her neck. The choker itself is pretty interesting,with a knotted shape in front. We're just not sure about the combo. What do you think? Does her choker work or would you prefer to see something a bit more understated?

Halloween Costume Idea: Mia From Pulp Fiction

If ever there was an easy-to-put-together Halloween costume, it's Uma Thurman's Mia Wallace character from Pulp Fiction. And if ever there was a sexy movie poster, it's this one. (Well, smoky treat aside.)

Hair and makeup: Uma famously wore Chanel's classic Vamp nail polish for the flick, and Revlon's red-black Vixen polish is another possibility. Of course, you'll also need a black, pageboy-style wig and plenty of '90s-trendy brick-red lipstick. To finish, use a touch of black liner and mascara to set the bad-girl mood.

What to wear: All it takes is three basics: a black v-neck t-shirt, capris, and a pair of sky-high stilettos. Add a black, corded choker with a red pendant, and you'll be Quentin Tarantino's latest muse in no time flat.

Take it to the next level: Speaking of flat(s), for a Jack Rabbit Slims Twist Contest version, just substitute the heels for black flats, and the black tee for a long, white button-down. And you really want to get gory, carry around a faux needle for your shot of adrenaline later on in the evening.

True to form, Gaultier delivered trench coats, sharp suiting, and far sexier fare for Spring 2012. The collection showcased his signature craft in structured, pinstriped suits, then gave way to a sultrier side as models hit the runway with perfectly '40-inspired victory curls - and their look numbers in hand. Evening wear in elegant body-conscious jersey dresses, some draped, some with waist-defining corsets, and still, others with embroidered tops, and leg-baring slits brought femininity in the most mature sense. The statement is somewhat dramatic, especially when you consider Gaultier's tattooed body stockings and piercings, but the dressing is easy and subtly seductive.

Trends: ladylike, boudoir, menswear, corsets, leg-revealing slits.
Colors: black, white, soft green and blue, orange, nude, kelly green, and floral print.
Key Piece: Karlie Kloss in a pinstripe short suit.
Accessories: chokers and statement necklaces; embellished and cutout booties, high-heel Mary Janes, tattoo-print body stockings.
Who Would Wear It: Sexy, avant-garde types; Dita Von Teese and Gwen Stefani.
