John Galliano started his Christian Dior Spring '10 show with a literal bang as gunshots and theatrical screaming laid out the framework for his film noir-inspired collection. Set against a gritty, warehouse scene, models with wavy tresses and red lips strutted down the runway in an array of sensual, lingerie-like silk gowns, camisoles, peek-a-boo lace dresses, silk shorts, and and beaded gowns. His ode to '40s Hollywood glamour continued with sharply tailored trench coats — a staple then, a staple today — tiered skirts, corsets, and I even spied a couple of ankle socks paired with sky-high sandals.

If you recall, Angelina's stylist Jen Rade once told me she puts the actress in black because it allows her strong features to shine.

I admit, Vanessa Hudgens looks extra adorable in her purple pleated Christian Dior dress and matching suede pumps. The sheer deep v-neck adds the perfect dose of sexy to her cute vibe, and I heart the Navajo-inspired tasseled belt. A simple black clutch and dazzling statement ring top off her getup – what say you?

Glamorous, and a touch garish, Galliano leads Couture week with a provocative showing at the Dior headquarters. Innerwear played a major role in this film noir. Corsets, garters, hose, slips, camis, and brassieres all hung out exhibiting a high-class peekaboo show.

Lady Dior's Spring '09 ad with Marion Cotillard was so successful, the French actress is back for Fall. But this time around, New York City, not Paris, is the setting. Photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the cinematic image of Marion as "Lady Red," the mirror suggesting a double life.
