Paris Couture Week Spring 2012 just wrapped up, and the City of Light was bustling with fashion's finest. Trendsetting celebrities including Elizabeth Olsen, Olivia Palermo, and Cameron Diaz were spotted making their rounds at the couture shows and looking fabulous while doing so. It appears that the overarching theme for Spring 2012 couture is ladylike silhouettes made modern via textural intrigue at Armani Privé, puffed sleeves at Chanel, and sheer fabrics at Christian Dior. Just in time for award season, Bill Gaytten debuted an ultra-feminine collection of ladylike frocks and gowns begging to be worn on the red carpet. With a nod to vintage Dior, Gaytten delivered cinched waists balancing fit and flair shapes and classic ladylike silhouettes with folded open collars, exposing a hint of decolletage ever so tastefully. The structure and glamour of the Old Dior house are there, but not without Gaytten's modern updates - we're treated to fresh sheer pleats, sleeves, and tops, while evening gowns are a study in delicate texture with organza and chiffon layers. We can think of little else but who might walk the Oscars red carpet in one of these gowns.

Trends: Ladylike, sheer.
Colors: White, black, gray, purple, and red.

Dior has chosen Mila Kunis as the face for its latest ad campaign featuring its iconic Miss Dior bags. "I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Dior. The brand is iconic in so many ways. It defines fashion, elegance and sophistication," said Kunis. The Spring '12 campaign, shot by Mikael Jansson, shows Kunis looking Parisian chic wearing fancy black Dior dresses paired with the newest colors and finishes from the Miss Dior handbag collection. Miss Dior bags are beautiful on their own, but Mila clutching on to one makes it just that much more covetable. Paris Fashion Week just finished last week, but next season's gowns are already hitting the red carpet. If you were curious as to how the bevy of sheer, boudoir-inspired gowns would translate from the runway, look to Michelle Williams for a lovely, slightly more modest take. For the New York premiere of her upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic My Week With Marilyn, Michelle chose the seafoam green chiffon gown from Dior's Spring '12 collection. She added a slip, the belt from the show, and a cocktail ring. Michelle kept her makeup minimal, going for dewy skin. We love the fresh, glowing, elegant look.
