Designers Guild Introduces the Christian Lacroix Home Collection

Designers Guild has teamed up with Christian Lacroix to debut an exclusive home décor collection. The luxurious line includes throw pillows, rugs, note cards, and journals, as well as a collection of fabrics. The exquisite fabrics feature fabulous prints, luxurious velvets, and stunning satins evoking the rich European heritage and creative edge of Christian Lacroix. Some patterns, like the abstract "Tempera" stripes, were plucked straight from the Spring 2009 Couture Show.

From the catwalk to your very own interiors, these pretty patterns are a breath of fresh air for Spring. I'm coveting the Forum Throw Pillow ($170) to toss on my new black leather wing chair. The crumpled black and white stripes of the Riviera Rug ($1,895) would also be a standout piece in any room. Home Away From Home: Hôtel du Petit Moulin

When your Vera Wang wedding dress comes off, you and your hubby can ditch your designer duds for designer digs and check your newly married selves into the Christian Lacroix-designed Hôtel du Petit Moulin in Paris. Housed in Paris's oldest bakery, dating back to 1900, the hotel, which has preserved its typical French boulangerie façade, is in Paris's trendy, fashion-centric Marais district — in other words, it's the hippest hotel since sliced bread. Notice how the color changes from deep to light tones as you look down - très magnifique! I like how the perfectly placed white bow and matching Raven Kauffman clutch add a funky touch. There might be light at the end of the tunnel for Christian Lacroix. After accumulating over 14 million dollars in losses and nearly facing liquidation, the fashion house received a serious bid from Italy’s Borletti Group. Borletti is the owner of La Rinascente, Italy’s largest department store chain, and French department stores Printemps. Details are under wraps but we do know that a court ruling will be held in September to review the offer. Let's cross our fingers for Lacroix . . .
