Burberry Prorsum, Live From London Fashion Week

As New York Fashion Week draws to a close for us at FabSugar US, our friends from across the pond at FabSugar UK are gearing up for London Fashion Week, which starts today and goes until Sept. 22. Sure to be one of the highlights of LFW is the Burberry Prorsum show, which will be held in London instead of Milan, where it is typically held. The British brand is doing this to celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week. Luckily, since we won't be in attendance, the show will be streamed live online for the rest of the world to see.

All you have to do is go to live.burberry.com at 6:30 p.m. BST on Sept. 22 to get front-row access. Plaid not your thing? Then make sure to check out Alexander McQueen's show as he does the same thing during Paris Fashion Week.

Emma Watson = Burberry Hottie

We couldn't be more amazed with Emma Watson's highly anticipated ads for Burberry. Shot at its new headquarters in London, photographer Mario Testino captured the budding stylista looking calm and cool all while wearing Burberry's iconic trench coats and leather handbags. “I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and the modernity of the Burberry brand, while at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today,” said Christopher Bailey, creative director of Burberry. It's hard to believe Emma's only 19; these ads show a different, more mature side of the actress and I love it. What about you?

Who Was Most Fab at Burberry's NYC Soiree?

In celebration of its new NY headquarters, Burberry lit the cityscape with bright lights and a fashionable soiree filled with bubbly and a guest list PR people would kill for. There were a ton of looks to choose from, but I narrowed it down to five. Lily Donaldson showed off her stems in a white chiffon minidress; Alexa Chung styled her printed sheath with a belt and blazer; Leigh Lezark looked sexy stealth in a ruched eggplant frock and sharp heels; Claire Danes accessorized her gray dress with bold adornments; and Blake Lively looked cunning in a loose blazer and mini. Fab Flash: Designers Choose Their Fall '09 Faces

UPDATE: Jennifer Connelly has once again been chosen by Nicolas Ghesquière to represent Balenciaga. Meanwhile, Stefano Pilati picked Christy Turlington to star in his Yves Saint Laurent campaign.

I know, Spring has just begun, but the fashion world is always a step, or should I say a season, ahead of the masses. Designers have started choosing faces for their Fall campaigns. Steven Meisel will be snapping Madonna for her second debut for Louis Vuitton; Frida Giannini has chosen Jacquetta Wheeler as the face for her Gucci campaign, which will be shot in London; and Burberry snagged budding stylista Emma Watson for its campaign. Fab Ad: Burberry Spring '09

I'm smitten by Burberry's Spring '09 campaign. Staying true to the label's roots, Creative Director Christopher Bailey enlisted Mario Testino to shoot an all-Brit clan looking stylishly rumpled in Burberry's garden delight offerings. The cast spotlights Lily Donaldson with fellow models Eden Clarke, Alexina Graham, and Richard Wyndham. If that weren't enough, Bailey invited Brit actor Alex Pettyfer; musicians George Craig and Sam Beeton; and photographer Emily Hope to pose with the models against the lush green backdrop. "I wanted the mood to be gentle, relaxed, romantic, and about a quiet, beautiful sense of luxury,” said Bailey.

The models natural makeup complements Bailey's disheveled collection of statement jewelry, printed dresses, and trenches. And, I spy Burberry's debut of The Gardener Bag. I'm loving these, are you?

Milan Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Burberry Prorsum

Three things to take away from Burberry Prorsum's Fall '08 collection: dramatic coats, statement necklaces and knit beanies. The talented Christopher Bailey yet again injected a kick of cool to the once-conservative brand, and also showed serious frocks and metallic pants. The overall vibe was sophisticated grunge, with moody hues like taupe, grey, and midnight blue. Sticking with the edgy Burberry vibe, studded bags and bracelets complemented the clothes. Minus the silly beanies and oversized coats, I'd rock (and roll) all the pieces in this collection.
