Burberry Beauty Launches Four New Shades of Foundation

Designer Christopher Bailey is a man of his word. Back in 2010, we spoke to the Burberry creative director when Burberry Beauty first launched at Nordstrom. At the time, the line had no foundations for women with dark skin tones, but Bailey promised that some were on the way. Now, the makeup line has delivered, with four new foundation shades for darker skin tones. "People like the fact that it's light and breathable," Bailey said of the foundation. "The whole philosophy of it is that it enhances you, rather than covers you." Expect to see that - plus more of the Spring 2012 beauty look - in the brand's new campaign, featuring British model Jourdan Dunn.

Kate Bosworth gave her boyfriend Michael Polish the look of love last night at the launch of Burberry's Body fragrance in LA. It was her and Michael's second fashion outing in the last week, as they also cozied up at last Thursday's Vogue's 2011 CFDA Fashion Fund finalist celebration. Kate and Michael were joined yesterday by Burberry designer Christopher Bailey and Rachel Zoe. Rachel was decked out in a teal trench from Christopher's collections, and she tweeted that the event was, "Way fun!" Kate also found a minute to catch up with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who's the face and body of the Burberry scent.

If you ever wondered what London's take on the tribal trend would look like, look no further. "Joyous, upbeat, nostalgic" were the words Christopher Bailey used to describe his Spring collection for Burberry Prorsum, and that's exactly what it looked like as models strutted down the runway in an array of brightly colored trench coats, African-inspired printed sheath dresses, and, most notably, a cool array of parka jackets embellished with leather sleeves, whipstitch, and crochet detailing. Pretty pleated knee-length skirts and silk dresses injected a throwback touch while raffia pom hats, colorful woven wedges, and bold statement necklaces furthered Bailey's exotic theme. Colors: Orange, purple, peacock blue, green, mustard yellow.
