Who, what, where (or wear)? These are the questions people had running through their heads when the Spring Fashion Weeks were in effect. We were mostly focusing on the clothes rather than who dominated the front rows, but let us also dissect the guests. Editors, celebrities, and models get invited to the shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. One lady who always looked amazing was Carine Roitfeld. Here, at the Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris, the Vogue Paris editor gave new meaning to the term power suit. The serious glare also helps. Fab Ad: Gap Fall '08

I will always love the Gap. I mean, cotton basics? Cozy knits? Preppy staples? Oh, and I love their lip balm. Change is already underway at the company, with Patrick Robinson as head designer under the gun. This Fall campaign, shot by Mikael Jansson, is quintessential Gap - black and white, laid-back poses, American inspired. But the cast and the styling are fresh.
The idea behind the campaign is to “Create Your Own GAP” by mixing and matching classic pieces to create an outfit all your own. The celebrities and models are styled to suit their personal tastes, and the list is vast: Liv Tyler, Georgina Chapman of Marchesa, Fabcon Clemence Poesy (pictured here), Ginnifer Goodwin, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Schuman (of The Sartorialist), Cecilia Dean (cofounder and editor, Visionaire), models Chanel Iman and Lily Donaldson, and more. This exhibits a cooler, more undone Gap with a focus on fashionable, functional garb. Are you impressed?

On Our Radar: Gap Announces Fall Campaign Lineup, Including Liv Tyler

Gap has long been known for choosing an eclectic mix of well-known A-listers and up-and-comers to star in their advertising campaigns. I already informed you about Ginnifer Goodwin's involvement in the upcoming Fall campaign, but the list goes on and on.

Actors Liv Tyler (who has modeled for the brand before, left), Hugh Dancy, Fabcon Clemence Poesy, Catalina Moreno, Edgar Ramirez, and photographers Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) and Ryan McGinley are also featured in the ads, which will launch this Summer.
Rounding out the list are Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, Fab Face Chanel Iman, screenwriter David Benioff, Visionaire founder Cecilia Dean, and Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark.

Fabcon: Clémence Poésy

Fab is obsessed with the French as of late. French food and wine has been a long time favorite, but lately, Frenchies seem to be stealing the fashion spotlight. Move over Brits! Carine Roitfeld is the coolest of all the Vogue editors, Marion Cotillard is the official ingenue and Clémence Poésy is one to watch.

This adorable blonde has been relatively under the radar stateside. You may recognize the 24-year-old as Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. No? You may have spotted her attending the Spring couture and Paris fashion shows. Still not putting a name to the face? She is one of the brand ambassadors for Chloe's new fragrance, along with model Anja Rubik and Chloe Sevigny. Sacre bleu!

She has a tousled style to go with her tousled hair. She has this knowing look - when she's wearing a Charlie Chaplin hat or hiding behind fantastic sunnies. She is confident and she is one French cookie I will be watching.

Fab Flash: Miu Miu Says Goodbye to Kirsten, Bonjour Vanessa

Like we've been preaching for a while now - the French are coming! It's not just us who are intrigued by the je ne sais quoi of the French lassies taking over film and fashion. There's ingenue Clémence Poésy, Oscar-nominee Marion Cotillard, Chanel spokeswoman Audrey Tautou, and now the new face of Miu Miu, and second half of a power couple with Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis. This former model and musician definitely knows how to work it for the camera as she's a seasoned muse. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott will be behind the lens yet again. And like that, Kirsten Dunst is no longer a Miu Miu muse . . .

In more Miu Miu news, the little sister of Prada will open a second store in Los Angeles on Rodeo. Double the news, double the fun.

Fabcon: Audrey Tautou

French films have a distinct quirkiness that I crave from time to time. I recently watched, for the hundredth time, Amélie starring cute-as-a-button, French actress, Audrey Tautou. She is a hot ticket slated to play Coco Chanel in an upcoming flick and rumored to be the next face of Chanel No. 5 perfume. Her short banged bob and vintage wardrobe made me want to visit my hairstylist sooner than scheduled, and wear my hemline a little longer.

If Clémence Poésy is France's eccentric child, and Marion Cotillard is the sophisticated sister, then Audrey is the wise, ripe daughter that is utterly comfortable in her skin.

One look at Audrey's clothes and pixie haircut and it's obvious that the girl cares about fashion. When on the red carpet, she's quirky but always polished. Her choice of dresses makes it known that she's not OK with being a fashion sheep. Her off-carpet style usually consists of relaxed jeans, paired with a cool jacket and easy flats. With her petite frame and at-ease style, I get the sense that for Miss Tatou, shopping is an in-and-out experience. I'd love to accompany her one day!
