Can you walk like an Egyptian? Idinky can. She got all bedazzled and even posed like Cleopatra. The wig, the white dress, the head piece, the gold jewels; all of it makes her foxy Cleopatra. Well done. I'm so glad my Fabby Halloween guide helped.

This striking Pharaoh was one of the most important figures in Egypt's history. Using her wits and ravishing looks, Cleopatra claimed power and victory across the lands. Her story of power and love was so powerful it prompted directors to portray her story in numerous Hollywood movies; Joseph L. Mankiewicz's rendition starring Elizabeth Taylor was my favorite. Achieving her look is sexy and easy. All you need is a simple long jersey dress (in black or white), tons of gold accessories and serious makeup. Hold your head high and walk like an Egyptian . . .

Fab Redux: Cleopatra's Final Touch

With Halloween fast approaching, I have really started getting into costume brainstorming mode. Often I'll turn to vintage clothing to supplement my Halloween costume - that way, no one else can show up to the party wearing the same thing as me.

When I saw this 80s snake belt, $24, I automatically thought: how perfect would it be for a Cleopatra costume? It's adjustable up to 36" and if you didn't want to wear it around your waist, you could wrap it around your upper arm instead. What is a Cleo costume without an asp, anyway?

Fashion sure has a dark side lately with trends like studs, zippers and now snake motifs.
