Clinique has done it again. They were the first department store beauty brand I ever bought, their products are gentle on the skin and they constantly reinvent themselves. So they're not the edgiest brand in town - what I love about them is that what they make is built to last. If you take inventory over the years, I'll bet every one's got a Clinique product on their top ten list; mine is their Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.

Their latest launch is a collection for Spring called Fresh Bloom. I am sure you've seen the beautiful images of their sweet floral Fresh Bloom All Over Color $29.50, blush and highlighter compact inside all of your favorite glossy mags.

This is just part of the collection but from what jennifer76 has reported in the Beauty Product Junkies group, it's already become a hot commodity. Oh and I thought it came in just one shade, but it actually comes in peach, pink, plum and almond variations! I have yet to try it, but I can't wait. Other products from this line include: an eye shadow trio, happy in bloom perfume, glossy mascara, eye liner pencils, butter shine lipsticks, lip plumpers and a powder brush.

Beauty Byte: Clinique to the Rescue!

After discovering my new Clinique eye cream, and still loving it btw, I am psyched for Clinique's newest moisturizer: Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer, to hit counters in March. This is considered a basic moisturizer that contains eight rapid and delayed-release antixodants that are supposed to help defuse free radicals before they have the chance to cause skin damage - doesn't sound so basic to me!

This product will be available in three skin type formulas: one for dry skin, one for dry/combination skin and one for combination/oily to oily skin.

So why buy this new Clinique moisturizer? According to Beth Spruance, vice president of global treatment marketing:

Fab Finding Follow Up Follow Up: A New Eye Cream

Last month I asked you all to go Fab Finding to help me find a new eye cream. I decided to try this Clinique Advanced Stop Signs Eye SPF 15. I figured in the winter weather I could use a little extra moisture so I bought this one. And can I say I am thrilled with it! This eye cream miraculously leaves my eyes feeling supple and moisturized without a trace of goo or oil.

This moisture-rich formula diminishes the look of undereye circles, shadows, puffs and fine lines-immediately and over time. It also helps boost natural collagen production and de-puffs with calming botanicals. This eye cream even strengthens skin’s moisture barrier against common irritants. The Best Red Lipsticks, Part II: Burgundies

A while back when all of the celebs were sporting red lips I wrote a post featuring my top five best red lipsticks. Since it was such a hit, I decided to write a second part featuring the best burgundy lipsticks - burgundy being the sophisticated, older sister of red. Here are my top picks:

Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Burgundy, $21, is a creamy semi-matte lipstick with full coverage. This color is a deep, rich, wine color that would look great layered under a pink or purple toned shimmery gloss.

Clarins Le Rouge Lipstick in Passion 360, $21.50, is a long lasting lip color that is super lightweight with a satiny finish and feel. It's creamy formula is made with shea butter, wheat germ extract and vitamin E. The petal-shaped tip allows for easy application.

Avon ULTRA COLOR RICH Lipstick in Vino Royale, $6.50, is a smooth lip color Avon's Intuitive Technology team has formulated and it can actually read your lips and self-adjust it's creaminess level to your needs - high tech!

Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Vintage Wine, $14, is a creamy matte lipstick that won't feather, fade or stain. I love this tried and true brand. It reminds me of my young adult life and over time, this line has never stopped expanding!

Fab Finding Follow Up: A New Eye Cream

Last week I ranted and raved - not in a good way - about my current eye cream situation. I asked you all for your beauty advice and to help me Fab Find a new one. You all seemed very excited for this beauty challenge and this was one of the reasons we created Beauty Marks. The culprit was this Chella Intensive Formula Eye Crema, that was way too expensive ($100) for what it turned out to be.

Ziploc Bag Beauty, Part II: Save It For the Solids

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard about the latest carry-on regulations from the Transportation Security Administration: All of the liquids in your carry-on luggage must be in bottles 3-ounces or smaller, and those must be sealed in a single quart-sized Ziploc bag. But even if you have a high-maintenance beauty regimen, it's possible to accommodate your liquids on board. The key is having a mix of liquids that go in the baggie and solids that don't. Earlier today, I gave you Ziploc Bag Beauty, Part I: Maximize Your Baggie, detailing all of the liquids you should stow in your bag.

Old School Lipstick Shades We Love

If you're like me and you love to play with makeup, then you can appreciate finding affordable and fabulous drugstore cosmetics to throw into the vast mix that is your makeup bag. For example, if you are going to try the smoky eye look, then you've got to downplay your lips. But if you are just going to wear some mascara, then you'll need something with a little more color. So why not try some tried and true lipsticks from the 1980s and early 1990s? Here are a few of my favorites.

Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick in Silver City Pink is an oldie but goodie. It's smooth and rich in color, and if you are going for a dramatic effect on your eyes, this is a fantastic, pale shade that suits all eye colors. Buy it here for $5.03.

Remember how cool it was when professional makeup became mainstream? The deep, neutral M.A.C. Lipstick in Taupe came out around the same time as Bobbi Brown's brownish lipsticks and natural-looking eyes became popular. Clinique's Answer to Combination Skin
