Let's play first lady of France dressup. Carla looks every bit the part after a visit to the Met in New York - Bentley in tow. I wish I could browse endless walls of art wearing an origami folded neck skirt suit, Tod's flats, and a perfect little Dior bag. Carla proves you can still look buttoned-up and sophisticated in flats (sigh). This is a great work or interview look so pay attention to this first lady.

2010 Spring Paris Fashion Week: Chloé

You can spot a Chloé a mile away. That's not to say Hannah MacGibbon has a formula, but rather, a distinct aesthetic, which has come to define the house. While Spring '10 was muted in color, it was bursting in silhouette. Hefty ponchos, cropped capes, leather boy shorts, sharp suits, and leather overalls were among the offerings. A major theme was crisp button-down shirts, buttoned all the way to the top. In that sense, this collection is buttoned-up. It's a collection for a warrior woman, one who isn't afraid to embark on an unknown journey, stylish poncho in hand.

So as not to abandon her more flirtatious customer, however, Hannah added a few flowy skirts and an airy white accordion-pleated frock - wedding dress anyone? And for the denim-loving gal, one look: a patched button-down denim shirt and comfy jeans. Onward ho!

2010 Spring Paris Fashion Week: Stella McCartney

This is Stella's party and she'll dress her women how she wants to! That's precisely what the British designer did, as friends like Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlotte Casiraghi looked on. Stella's Spring creations remind that she is a multi-faceted woman, full of life and passion for fashion. She continues to appreciate neutrals and lace, but is now also totally exuberant. The major show-stealers are accordion-pleated ruffles and bright, juicy colors like royal blue, fuchsia, and orange.

Parts of this collection reminded me of her past - crisp high-waisted trousers, oversized blazers, camel hues - but so much of it was fresh. A one-piece bathing suit, a developing Spring trend made its way onto the catwalk, as did dramatically sexy blouses, maxi dresses, lace halter tops, and mini boy shorts. A few denim pieces also took part, but in a less modern, more vintage manner. Whether you're feeling elegant, sassy, boyish, or shy, look no further than Stella Spring '10.

Simply Fab: Necklush Scarves

2010 Spring New York Fashion Week: Jason Wu

I couldn't help but ask myself, "Would Michelle Obama wear that?", while checking out Jason Wu's tantalizing Spring collection. Indeed, I saw a couple pretty dresses that Michelle would jump for, but his creations aren't just for the First Lady. Any cutie would be so lucky to don his array of youthful separates and magical frocks. For separates, the designer dreamt up a range of sporty, yet polished tweed suits, chambray tops, metallic pleated skirts, and a ton of fun prints. Dresses varied from romantic shapes adorned with frothy feathers and intricate ruffles, to polished streamlined sheaths, and flirty cocktail dresses.

For color, Wu accompanied vibrant hues of coral, purple, blues, deep yellow, and pink with classic neutral tones. To offset the bold colors, the designer kept his shapes structured and modern. All together a very wearable, very wonderful collection - I cant wait until Spring! 2009 was a great year for Wu but I'm thinking 2010 might be even greater.

Celeb Style: Angelina Jolie

Angelina got in major sexy mode last night at the Inglourious Basterds premiere in LA. Despite the fact that she stuck to her signature color, black, she knocked it out of the ballpark with her strapless leather Michael Kors dress. If you recall, Angelina's stylist Jen Rade once told me she puts the actress in black because it allows her strong features to shine. The strappy black Christian Dior sandals and red cocktail ring keep her chic, not biker-chick. But of course, her best accessory is Brad in an all-black (Tom Ford?) suit. Damn.

Swimming With Shoshanna

It's bikini season and you know what that means . . . it's time to decide on your Summer '09 swimwear look. I've been really into prints lately - loud, bright, saucy prints. What's your style du jour? If you need any enlightening or encouraging, we've got swim pro designer Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss to deliver some Fab swimsuit tips. How many swimsuits do you own?

I own way too many swimsuits to count!!! All Shoshanna, of course!!!

What are the key swim trends to look for this Summer?

Look for bright pop colors like neon pink, orange, and green. Tribal prints are popular as well as ditsy floral prints, big bohemian florals, and graphic black and white.

How do you prevent swimsuit wedgies?

Prevent wedgies by wearing the right size. Not too big and not too small. Should be snug, but not tight.

What advice do you have for a girl who isn’t comfortable with her beach body?

A bathing suit is a bathing suit, it’s never going to cover that much! You can do lots of things to cover up area’s you are insecure about. Throw on an Elizabeth and James button down, Anlo jean shorts, or a Mexican embroidered dress. If you are insecure about your bottom, thrown on a cute skirt. If you want to cover up your arms, a 3/4 sleeve tunic will do just the trick. Also, accessorize your outfit with some beachy jewelry, like gold necklaces or bangles to look super chic.

How do you find a swimsuit that flatters your shape?

Big Busted: Look for halters which offer the most support. Also look for boning and underwire which will act like a bra and securely hold you in place. Curvy: Look for one pieces with ruching to slim your middle. When shopping for bikini's stick to bottoms with tie strings so they are easily adjustable. Flat Chested: Strings are most flattering. If you want to enhance your chest, look for ruffles or ruching which will create the illusion of a bigger chest.

Do you think it’s worth buying an expensive bathing suit (yours) versus a cheap one (H&M)? Does it make a difference?

There are two factors to think about: quality and fit/sizing issues. H&M is very generic and sold as sets. Our collection offers 13 different sizes and are sold as separates so we give customers more options. Shoshanna bathing suits are also constructed with the highest quality materials. We use a special boning and underwire that provides amazing support.

What are some general tips for purchasing swimwear?

Cotton bathing suits are more for show. They will take a long time to dry compared to a polyester/Spandex blend. Accept that sizes will vary, even from the same label.

2009 Fall Couture: Chanel

As an ode to simple elegance, Karl kept his Chanel Fall couture collection long and lean with sophisticated strapless gowns, classic suiting, and highly embellished frocks. The designer's play on peek-a-boo with an abundance of mesh, lace tights, and high/low hemlines shows off legs in a slightly naughty manner. Sequins and beading also made an appearance in the form of glittering dresses, which were reminiscent of the '80s and '90s. For color, Karl kept it simple playing with gorgeous jewel tones and noir. While this ivory and black tiered dress does not blow me away, it's still beautiful. Thoughts?

Swimming With Shoshanna

Um, isn't Shoshanna hot? And buff? Just had to point that out before we continue swimming with Shoshanna. I don't know about you, but I'll take swimwear advice from a successful designer, mom, and hottie. Here, Shoshanna answers our questions about how revealing a swimsuit should be, what it was like collaborating with Charlotte Ronson on their swim collection, and the best beach coverups.

How revealing should a swimsuit actually be?

Bust coverage test: Three-fourths of the bust should be covered, leaving only a swath of cleavage. The thicker the strap that attaches the bust to the rest of the suit, the more likely it'll stay in place as the day goes on. If you opt for a bandeau top, which is often strapless, nothing should be squeezing out the top or the bottom. Boy shorts offer great coverage on the bottom if you're active, but they're far from being a universally flattering style.

What was your favorite part of collaborating with Charlotte Ronson on Made With Love?

Getting to spend some time together was the best part. We have always played nicely together and get along great. It was very satisfying for both of us to see everything come together and to love everything!

What was the biggest challenge?

Finding time - we are both so busy!

Will this be an ongoing collection?

I know it will be, we have already finished the second collection.

I love our string bikini!

Are you a prints or solids girl?

I'm a print girl. I love all our prints! Once in a while I'll throw on a black bikini, nothing sexier!

How do you cover up on the beach or at the pool?

I'll usually wear a Mexican embroidered tunic, with a cute pair of Anlo denim cutoffs.

And which is preferred - beach or pool?

I'm totally a beach girl! I love the ocean, and beach combing, and of course making sandcastles with my little girl.

What are the best colors for every skin tone?

Navy and black are universally good for every skin tone. Both colors are flattering and look good against the lightest skin tones and the darkest.

How do you take your beach look from day to night?

Find a versatile cover-up that can take your bikini beach look to a casual dinner. A crochet cover with three-quarter sleeves is great because you can throw it over a bikini with cute shorts or jeans and be ready for a night out.

What is the best way to care for swimwear?

Don't put bathing suits in the washing machine, this will weaken the elastic. Instead, wash in cold water with a delicate cleanser such as Woolite.
