When did DVF get so good? With the usual star studded front row, can you believe DVF's Fall show brought out Diana Ross? Upside down, you turn me, inside out . . . Diane keeps catering to the exotic, and this turn the nomad was her muse. Tribal prints, cozy sweater capes, corduroy, cashmere, beading, and pom pom infested hats keep her nomad warm and stylish. Milan Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Dolce & Gabbana

The Dolce & Gabbana uomi have ditched sex appeal and embraced a more covered-up countryside style.

Choice materials are rustic: plaid, tweed, a patchwork scarf print, and corduroy. Even the ball gowns had a Little Orphan Annie appeal - they were matte and muted. But there were some luxe elements - furs, sexy jeans, fun lace-up shoes, and silk scarves worn around necks. I'm not loving the new skirt silhouette of Fall - below the knee - but at least these designers offset it with tight knit sweaters on top. Lastly, there is an overarching British sensibility. I think these Italian designers should stick to what they do best: la dolce vita.

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Carolina Herrera

Today was a good day for a ride in the countryside . . . for Carolina Herrera. While Ralph Lauren has equestrian chic down pat, Herrera is giving him a run for his money.

Colors were borrowed from a fall landscape: oatmeal brown, China blue, lemon drop yellow and russet red. Masculine tweeds are layered over chiffon print shirts, vests and riding pants. There wasn't much in the evening category; Herrera opted to create dramatic daywear instead. And succeed she did. Opulent materials like fur and feather were omnipresent - the long feathers that stemmed from the dramatic fedoras had a life all their own. Puffy eyed models (late night girls?) also donned plaids, brocade and corduroy.

Cape? Check. Riding gloves? Check. Whip? Check!

Come Fab Finding With Me: Calling All Sugar Extras!

A few of the Sugar girls are going to be extras in Milk, the '70s-themed biopic with Sean Penn, James Franco, and Diego Luna! Since the film is retro and set in the '70s, they have some strict wardrobe restrictions.

The costume designer is asking for nothing too costumey and nothing with a visible brand name: their clothes have to look authentic, so no materials or denim that looks too modern. Think simple flare or straight leg jeans, corduroy, suede, wool sweaters, fringe, and leather boots, and help them put together a film-worthy look.

I'll start you off with this Urban Outfitters Nubby Striped Scarf with Lurex ($18) because it adds a little flair. Come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with Sugar extras.

I Want This Wardrobe: The O.C., Season 3

Season Three of The O.C. was the pinnacle for the show. Marissa gets kicked out of school for her shooting incident from Season Two, she then eventually goes off the deep end and turns to drugs & alcohol and relations with bad boy, Volchok. Kristin is recovering from her bouts with the bottle while Julie falls in love with Summer's dad - go figure. Adorable little blondie Anna & slightly annoying, but somewhat endearing, Taylor add comic relief. We re-meet Marissa's quickly grown up sassy little sis, Kaitlin. Also, Summer's style really evolves and she shows us her full beauty potential. All of this leading up to the foursome graduating, all from Harbor (yay!). Then, just when we thought they were home free and off to college, Marissa meets the ultimate doom and dies in a car accident. I for one, was totally crushed. On to the clothes, for which there were many cute ones this season!

Celebrity Style: Sarah Jessica Parker

What a pleasant surprise! I yearn for SJP Celebrity Styles! Here is the cool New Yorker in front of her brownstone carrying home design mags. Hmmm, maybe she and hubby Matthew are redecorating? Perhaps. While her whole neutral hued ensemble is fab, there are two things I am seriously coveting here: that supremely chic handbag and her heather grey fisherman sweater. Well, I'm off to buy that sweater! I'll have to let SJP keep that bag, check out the price tag below.

Look of The Day: Sushi in Soho

Two things I love: 1) sushi, and 2) Soho - one of NYC's best shopping neighborhoods. These two are a recipe for fab outfits, as demonstrated by kerrib and her Sushi in Soho outfit. A very unique combination, she is today's Look Book Look of the Day!
