Inspired by founder Jade Lai and her globetrotting fashion adventures, Creatures of Comfort is a fab site that focuses on young international labels. A friend of mine was just visiting LA and told me about how much she enjoyed the flagship store and said I should check out the online store. Hard-to-find designers such as Emma Cook, Peter Jensen and Alexandre Herchcovitch can be found here. Also, Lai is debuting her own line this Spring.

While the site is very minimalistic it actually makes perusing very easy. You can search for items by keywords, by category (including sale), or by designer. Here are some of my picks:

Did You Drink Fake Booze During Your First Trimester?

If you're a social creature who enjoys a glass of wine, it can be hard to hide a new pregnancy from your pals. Go out to dinner and skip ordering a glass of wine or stop by a party and stick to water, and you might as well be wearing a sign that says, "I'm knocked up!" I told people I was pregnant when I was only eight weeks along for this very reason.

But if you're not comfortable telling your girlfriends your big news until your first trimester is over, it can be a conundrum, one that some women solve by drinking faux booze. (Pomegranate juice makes a great fake red wine, by the way).

Kristin Cavallari went on Twitter to throw people offtrack, then had to backtrack a few weeks later. "I tweeted that I had margaritas a few weeks ago to throw ppl off cuz I had gotten a couple tweets about my pregnancy. I didn't really drink!" Charlize Theron Talks Stuart, Kristen Stewart, and More in Vogue

Charlize Theron wore a stunning silver gown for the cover of December 2011's Vogue, which will be available in the US on Nov. 22. The actress is out and about chatting up her upcoming movie Young Adult, which is the second collaboration from Juno writer and director Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman. Charlize spoke about working with Jason shortly after splitting from her boyfriend of 10 years Stuart Townsend. She reflected on what it's like being single for the first time in her adult life, and how she's now throwing herself back into work. Another of her projects hitting theaters in the coming year is Snow White and the Huntsman with Kristen Stewart, who Charlize raves about as well. Charlize said:

On making Young Adult after her split from Stuart Townsend: "I’d gotten out of a relationship, and I was in this really floaty place. My feet weren’t touching the ground. I just kind of turned to [Jason Reitman] and was like, ‘I feel like me again.’. . . [The relationship] was sinking, and I had to give it a fight. I really wanted to try and make it work. That was the priority. I wouldn’t do it any different way."
On finally being single: "I’ve never been single. This is the first time in my life. From the time I was 19, I’ve been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month. . . . It’s been good for me. I’m a creature who’s really found her comfort zone in relationships. . . . It’s been nice to rediscover myself. I had to make a real conscious effort to do it - it’s hard. It’s much easier to lose yourself in flowers and cigarettes and coffee with somebody else."
On her Snow White costar Kristen Stewart: “She just turned 21. She’s a child. When I think about myself at 21, I had just done The Devil’s Advocate, and Keanu [Reeves] had paparazzi following him and Al Pacino said this thing to me: ‘If I knew that my life would be under this kind of scrutiny, I would have never become an actor.’ ” And I thought, Wow. I couldn’t comprehend it. . . . And Kristen is just living this to the max and still has a sense of humor about it. There’s this really lovely quality about her that just doesn’t give a f*ck. A lot of people say they don’t, but then they go home and cry and pop a Xanax. Kristen actually doesn’t give a f*ck. That’s what’s so refreshing about her. . . . I’m looking forward to killing her and taking her beauty. That’s what happens, right?"

For Sonja Lewis, an expat in her 40s, there was never a carriage, stroller or burp cloth. Or childcare. Or school tuition. Instead, Sonja opted out of the idea that all women need children in order to be fulfilled and complete - and now wants to tell the tale.

In her new novel The Barreness, Lewis explores the fraught and emotional territory of going child-free. We called up this Georgia-born journalist and writer in her current home in London - where she happily lives with her husband-and asked her all the questions you’d be too polite to ask.

Why did you write this novel?

I guess you could say I got married late (about 37 or 38) and became obsessed with whether I would have children. And I eventually concluded that being a mother wasn’t the right thing for me.

The previous generation seemed to stereotype non-mothers as selfish, hardcore people, and I wanted to make it clear that women can be fulfilled without becoming mothers. Exploring the subject in the form of a novel gives me free range in how I approach it.

Why did you decide not to have children?

You have to consider the commitment; it’s a lifetime role. As much as I love children, when it really became a viable option for me, the financial commitment, the personal commitment, everything I had to take into consideration . . . It just didn’t make sense.

In Her Shoes: Stefanie Michaels, Adventure Girl and America's Tweetheart

With a name like Adventure Girl, you know she's rockin' a dream job. She's a daring traveling expert, and has left footprints in places like safaris in Africa and ice hotels in Iceland. She's not just your average travel guru - Stefanie Michaels, has been dubbed by Vanity Fair as "America's Tweetheart," for her huge Twitter following on @adventuregirl . . . about 1.5 million followers and growing.

SavvySugar: Tell me about your favorite day on the job.

Stefanie Michaels: The first time I saw a lion in the wild. That was really spiritual. For the four days we had been looking, because we heard that there was this pride of lions that had a series of babies over the past months and we couldn’t find them. All of a sudden, our tracker said something to the driver and we made a U-turn to a different direction and we came around these boulders to see the pride. There was one male and there had to have been maybe six females all different ages, and the babies. There had to have been about nine to 10 babies and they were all rolling around, playing, hissing and growling, and we just sat there still, quiet in the truck. We watched the babies play and the mothers lick them, and it was almost like we shouldn’t have been there but we got this view. I just pinched myself. I couldn’t believe that we were sitting there watching this. The driver turned around to us later and said did you understand how rare this is. It was magical it was one of the most incredible experiences that I've ever had.

SS: Where do you want to go to next?

SM: Antarctica is on my shortlist, I’ve been trying to get there for a long time there’s always some kind of roadblock. But I feel like I want to get there faster, because of what’s going on with global warming. It may not be there to see so I’d really like to get there.
