Miranda's got a way with outfitting sophisticated takes on the trend - like this perfect rendition on Spring's printed denim. Adding a chic cropped jacket by Dries Van Noten in an understated gray and black helped to temper the statement print on her Current/Elliott sapphire leopard-print skinnies. Her other pieces were just as smart - and incidentally the kind we all have lying around in our closets - just a white tee and a pair of black flats. Kate Moss doesn't usually stray away from her sleek modus operandi, but when she does, it's just as amazing. While out celebrating her bro's birthday in London, the Super donned a pair of funky lace-up jeans. It's very Guns N' Roses circa '90, and I love how the lacing goes all the way up her legs. I suggest offsetting the old school vibe by pairing these pants with a decadent chubby - a la Kate - or fancy embellished top. If the full-legged corset is too much for your taste, opt for pants with less lacing. No matter what, don't forget the badass heels and rock star attitude.

It's bound to happen. Everyone starts to hibernate as the days get shorter and the temp gets colder. However, that's no excuse to dress drab. I suggest making your Winter retreat a fashionable one via buffalo plaid, sherpa-lined denim, laced boots, and boyfriend jeans. We all own a pair of denim cutoffs, but what about studded shorts? Like studly vests, they add a unique rocker-girl vibe to your overall look and are a quick and simple DIY. Personally, I refuse to pay top dollar for such a fleeting yet cute trend. That's why I headed to my local fabric shop for a pack of studs and a glue gun. $6 and 20 minutes later, presto chango - studded shorts!

Renee Zelllweger is a red carpet pro, but seeing her on the streets is fun, too. The actress was spotted in Hollywood looking part casual, part dressy, and all cool. She went strictly business up top with a long black blazer, Ray Ban aviators, and a Tod's hobo bag. On bottom, she played around with the denim nip/tuck and black pointy pumps. Do I peep some skin underneath that blazer? Hot!
