For Fall '09, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott mixed together inspiration from circus and Victorian life to create a quirky cool collection of denim. Seriously, where else can you a find a rugged Victorian jacket? For the upcoming season, the duo's famous boyfriend jeans were nowhere in sight, and instead replaced with an array of skinny jeans and wide-legged cuts in dark vintage washes.

Sarah Jessica Parker has the hickory stripe version; Rachel Bilson owns the destroyed boyfriend jean; and Kate Beckinsale recently wore the destroyed skinnies.

While galactic shimmer is perfect for nighttime glamour, galactic jackets are ideal during the daytime. Girl about town and London-based stylist Caroline Sieber showed off this trend during Paris Fashion Week wearing a cool blue out-of-this-world printed jacket. Such statement jackets don't need a lot of accompaniments; a cute frock or dark skinnies would do.
