These ladies turned up at the D&G boutique opening party in LA in some statement-making pieces. Bilson decided to dress up jeans in a blue sequin tuxedo jacket and bright yellow clutch. Sanaa wore a black knit hat, a textured black and gold dress, and net-like sandals. It comes down to whether you dig the sequin tuxedo jacket or the lady in the hat. Who made a better statement?

Next up for your voting pleasure are actresses Zoe Saldana and Jessica Stroup. Zoe decided to give her legs some breathing room by wearing a modern patchwork mini dress. She threw on a bangle, earrings, a clutch, and black pumps to complete the look. Adversely, Jessica covered up her legs in a brown and black D&G maxi dress. Check out the cascading ruffles down the middle. It's a toughie but who wins this D&G battle?

It was a battle of gold hued D&G dresses for Nicky and Marley at last night's D&G store opening on Robertson in LA. Nicky opted for a super girlie frothy bustier and nude open toe Louboutins. Marley va va voomed in a metallic tiered gown and draped chain necklaces. Both blondes looked lovely in their golden numbers, but who gets the gold?

A handful of Hollywood's fashion-loving starlets celebrated the opening of the D&G flagship store in LA last night. They're ready to rumble, are you ready to vote? First up we have Lauren Conrad and Ginnifer Goodwin, both in D&G LBDs. Lauren opted for a playful frock, paired with tights and a girlie bow headband. Ginnifer went a more sophisticated route in a sheer blouse, tulip skirt, and tribal necklaces. Who wins this battle?

Ashley Greene joined fellow celebs at the Tim Burton exhibition at MoMA - lucky! - looking quite fine in a D&G ensemble. Her outfit might look like a plain lace LBD at first glace, but look closer. The New Moon actress paired her decadent lace skirt with a shimmery sheer top and peekaboo bra. For extra spice, she accessorized with a cute ribbon belt and sophisticated pair of lace pumps. Striking.

D&G Dolce & Gabbana Plaid Shirtdress: Love It or Hate It?

At first glimpse, this D&G Dolce & Gabbana Plaid Shirtdress ($545) reminded me of something Paul Bunyan's wife would wear, but after a closer look, I think I kind of like it. The classic plaid is '90s grunge fabulous and the sleek silhouette lends a dressier feel to an otherwise casual textile. Do you agree or should it head back to the woods?

Fab Ad: D&G Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer '08

The dominatrix is out, and the lux hippie is in. Fab! I have been loathing Dolce & Gabbana's ads for a couple seasons now; they've just been too harsh and in your face. Remember last January when an ad was pulled because consumer groups didn't appreciate the knife play in it? Yeah, exactly my point. The Italian bad boys went good with both their D&G and namesake Spring collections and it was a much needed breath of fresh air for the house. Shot by Mario Testino, from the flower lined floor, pin straight center parted hair and flowing white frocks, things are looking free-thinking and fabulous at this party. Wish I was invited . . .

Teen Vogue threw its annual bash in LA where Twilight hottie and October cover boy Taylor Lautner undoubtedly stole the spotlight. But many more hot young things turned out, too. Kelly Osbourne, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Stroup, and AnnaLyne McCord, milked it for the cameras. Milan Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Domenico and Stefano Heart Katy Perry

Katy Perry is just cute as a button. Or, should I say, as a bottone? The men of Dolce & Gabbana not only had Katy sit front and center at their D&G Spring '09 runway show, but later, she wore a nautical sequined frock from the collection while performing at a D&G shindig. She also rubbed shoulders with Kelly Rowland at the runway show, and Cate Blanchett at the party. All signs point to new muse, new ad campaign star. I think it's a fun fit.

Fall Glimpse: Mad Plaider

Log cabins. Maple syrup. Grunge. My 21st birthday D&G dress. These are all a few of my favorite plaid things. While you probably already have a plaid item in your closet, or your boyfriend's closet, plaid has gone a bit mad for Fall. Consider an Edwardian jacket and pants a la McQueen, a tucked and pleated dress at Thakoon, mismatched and buttoned up at D&G. But my favorite is the slightly punky, paired with gray tights anime-looking Luella girl (left). She may look a bit mad, but whether it's tartan, glen, or buffalo, it's the shape of plaids to come.
