Fab Finding Follow-Up: Dance the Day Away

A friend of mine is in a modern dance group and they're having their recital soon. She invited me to go, and though I'm excited to see her moves, I'm nervous about my outfit. The only other dance recital I've been to was my little cousin's ballet class. I wanted to look dance-inspired but not foolish. Thanks for all of the lovely suggestions. I'm confident that I'll fit right in with the dance crowd in one of these sweet ensembles.

I started you off with this Jennifer Ouellette Headband ($75) because it has a sweet ballet aesthetic that will make me fit in with the dancers.

Look #1, created by kendallina, is soft with a little bit of tough. The thick strap adds a modern interpretation to the girlie ballerina flat.

Look #3, created by hil34, reminds me of something Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl would wear. The slouchy sweater offsets the hard pleats in the skirt. Love those shoes!

Diane von Furstenberg has launched an online art gallery, DVFProjects.com, with a behind the scene's look at the making of her Spring ad campaign. The new site features a five minute film documenting campaign model Natalia Vodianova being photographed, and then the synthesis of artist Francois-Marie Banier applying bold brushstrokes and writing to the processed photographs. It's definitely cool if you want an insider's look!

The woman we love for making us all look great in wrap dresses is about to make us look even better: Diane von Furstenberg is launching her first full shoe line. "I wanted to create power shoes for the woman on-the-go and on her feet," said DVF. "My shoes are not just pretty accessories; they are functional and serve a purpose. Women on-the-go need power, comfort, and fashion."

The initial collection features 12 looks, all with cushiony soles, including a black flat sandal, a gold strappy heel, and a Grecian wedge sandal. The shoes retail from $195-$350 and arrive mid-February at DVF stores and select department stores.

Hey DVF fans! Diane always knows how to please. With not a wrap dress in sight, and a collection consisting of cool dresses, skirt and blouse twins, and bathing suits, this Resort collection still manages to delight the senses.

From bold geometric prints to electro-washed retro florals, these designs are fit for both beach babes and city slickers. The long dress threw me off a bit - rather un DVF-like - but the modern day escape-to-Palm-Beach frocks are unabashedly DVF.

Laid back, cool and certainly chic, how I wished I'd had this turquoise bikini and funky cover up while on my recent trip to Greece!

When did DVF get so good? With the usual star studded front row, can you believe DVF's Fall show brought out Diana Ross? Upside down, you turn me, inside out . . . Diane keeps catering to the exotic, and this turn the nomad was her muse. Tribal prints, cozy sweater capes, corduroy, cashmere, beading, and pom pom infested hats keep her nomad warm and stylish. A Versatile, Tailored Look from DVF's Fall Line

The new Diane Von Furstenberg fall line just hit stores, and this ultra-feminine skirt and flirty top combo really caught my eye. I love the way DVF clothes fit, and I can see this outfit getting lots of use-for a formal Thanksgiving celebration, dinner with the in-laws, or a meeting where you want to look your best without worrying about what to wear. Plus tweed is so great for fall, and the sleek lines are both pretty and womanly. Isn't that exactly how a new outfit is supposed to make you feel? Fab Finding Follow-Up: '70s Kozy

I recently heard about a new bar in SF that's right up my '70s-loving alley: Kozy Kar Bar. Apparently, there are waterbeds, hard drinks, shag carpet, and Playboy pinups all around.
