Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth Try Their Best to Keep Things Classy For Derek Blasberg

Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth hosted a bash in LA last night celebrating their pal Derek Blasberg's new book, Classy: Exceptional Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady. Derek's currently in the midst of a cross-country book tour that included a stop San Francisco, where he shared five fashion no-nos with Fab. Nicole was with Joel and their daughter, Harlow, earlier in the day, but her date for the evening was her soon-to-be brother-in-law Benji. Nicky Hilton, though, was the one subjected to Nicole's sense of humor while they posed for a photo. The evening was all about starlets, fashion, and Derek, but the party also interestingly brought out the apparently reconciled couple Balthazar and Rosetta Getty.

No regrets. When I purchased a pair of Derek Lam gray suede sandals on sale at Shopbop last Summer, not only did I pat myself on the back for finding such a great deal, but I wore them with vigor. They magically matched every outfit, and were more interesting than black shoes. They felt very . . . modern.

And that's exactly how Dasha Zhukova looks. Her printed ivory and black dress is thoroughly baby-bump friendly, a little black jacket is smart, and what appears to be a Chanel bag is perfection. But it's her crisscross gray suede platform pumps that remind us she's a fashion editor. They give her a slight edge and added texture.

She wore her Alexander Wang Suede and Leather Motorcycle Jacket ($1,495) to an art event in Moscow recently. As usual, she kept herself more refined, less grungy. Lindsay, on the other hand, wore her Wang jacket in her signature disheveled manner. Completely different flavors, who wore it better?

At the Fetish by Christian Louboutin and David Lynch Exhibition in the Fabcon's home country of Russia, the sexy brunette worked a buttery leather jacket and a confectionery Rodarte frock. She gained extra style mileage with a graphic black and white clutch and silver Louboutin stilettos. No-fuss hair and pouty pink lips were perfect beauty accompaniments. The lilac and white wrapped and cut-out Rodarte dress is stunning in itself, but this stylemaster made it her own.

I first took notice of Russian Dasha Zhukova when she attended a Louis Vuitton and Richard Prince dinner in a white mini dress topped with a Chanel cropped denim jacket. Who's that girl? Upon further research, I discovered that she's codesigner of the brand Kova & T.

Since she's usually attending fancy fetes, you'll often find Dasha in a pretty dress. Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Valentino - these are just some of the designers she prefers. Even when she's not dolled up, the 27-year-old still looks put together in anything from shiny leggings to men's button-down shirts, leather jackets, blazers, and Kova & T pieces. Bottom line is she exudes that signature Russian sophistication with a dash of decadent Dasha.

Gwen Stefani Browses London's Frieze Art Fair With a Collector Friend

Gwen Stefani chatted with Russian art collector Dasha Zhukova yesterday at the Frieze Art Fair in London. The singer stepped out for a private exhibition, browsing the contemporary paintings on display during the festival's VIP day, in patent-leather oxfords and red lips. The festival gave Gwen a chance to go on a grown-up outing after spending much of the month hanging out with Kingston Rossdale and Zuma Rossdale at the park, the zoo, and the aquarium. The trio have opted to stay put in England while Gavin Rossdale continues his tour with Bush back in the states. His band released a new album this year after nearly a decade-long hiatus, and Gwen's band, No Doubt, will follow suit shortly. After striking out with her own successful solo career, Gwen reteamed with her bandmates in 2008 to start working on new material, and the quartet recently said they expect their new CD to hit stores next year.

Orlando Proudly Watches From the Front Row as Miranda Walks For Dior

Orlando Bloom was seated in the front row this morning to see his wife, Miranda Kerr, take the runway during the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week. Orlando looked so proud to see Miranda strutting her stuff, but he was the main event for Leighton Meester seated a few spots down. Miranda was excited too, tweeting, "J'Adore Dior." He also caught up with British model Poppy Delevigne and socialite Dasha Zhukova before the fashion parade began. Miranda and Orlando arrived in France just a few days ago, so that she could prep for her return to the catwalk. Their next bit of traveling will likely be for Orlando's work, as he's expected in London this weekend at the Three Musketeers junket.
