Ben Affleck, Michelle Williams, and More Award Season Regulars Make Time For a Fun Tea

Ben Affleck joked around with his sunglasses-wearing costar from The Town, Jeremy Renner, yesterday afternoon at a BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Reception held in the the Four Seasons Hotel. The duo were fresh off a night spent at Friday's Critics' Choice Awards, where Ben spent a good chunk of the evening kissing and hugging his lovely wife Jennifer Garner. Michelle Williams was a lucky girl in the middle of a director sandwich, as she chatted with Blue Valentine's Derek Cianfrance and The King's Speech's Tom Hooper. Andrew Garfield got lots of love from his Spider-Man leading lady Emma Stone at the CCAs, but he stayed close to his girlfriend Shannon Woodward, who's also good friends with Robert Pattinson. He was happy to be in the same place as so many of Hollywood's A-list, saying, "It's nice being in a room with such inspiring, wonderful people to talk to." Nicole Kidman, meanwhile, didn't bring her husband Keith Urban, but she was seen animatedly talking with Black Swan mastermind Darren Aronofsky. It was the latest event for the award season regulars, and most will be out again this evening for the Golden Globes - stay tuned later for photos and news from the big show!

Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth hosted a bash in LA last night celebrating their pal Derek Blasberg's new book, Classy: Exceptional Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady. Derek's currently in the midst of a cross-country book tour that included a stop San Francisco, where he shared five fashion no-nos with Fab. Nicole was with Joel and their daughter, Harlow, earlier in the day, but her date for the evening was her soon-to-be brother-in-law Benji. Nicky Hilton, though, was the one subjected to Nicole's sense of humor while they posed for a photo. The evening was all about starlets, fashion, and Derek, but the party also interestingly brought out the apparently reconciled couple Balthazar and Rosetta Getty.

Last night was a good night - we had the pleasure of meeting the fabulous author of Classy: Exceptional Advice For the Extremely Modern Lady, Derek Blasberg at an event hosted by model Maggie Rizer and Gilt Group. He's charming, handsome, not to mention super stylin'. Oh, and extremely funny. Sticking with the book's theme - turning trashy into classy - he divulged his top five fashion no-nos. "The good news is that there are classy girls in the world," Derek said. His tips for staying classy? "Buy the book, don't drink as much, never drink and drive, and use common sense."
