Circa '99, green was my favorite color, so I was elated to see the earthy tone back in action on the Fall '10 runways. During New York Fashion Week, a mass resurrection of green in every color variation - forest, olive, chartreuse, apple, and hunter green - spawned decadent beaded gowns, tailored blazers, and my fave, anoraks. A classic color reinvented? We seem to think so.

Fab Flash: Devi Kroell To Design Clothing

Most designers start with clothes and add accessories to the mix. To go against the grain, designer Devi Kroell is branching out from accessories announcing her first ready-to-wear collection for Spring of 2009. "I feel my accessories need a little bit of a backdrop, something very unique that fits them and complements them. I think it's a really natural continuation of what I have been doing so far. I started with bags, and then my clients asked for shoes, so I started making shoes," said Kroell.

Devi's exotic selection will offer dresses, suits, outerwear, and separates and retail between $790 to $2,000. The collection will be unveiled at a small showing at New York Fashion Week in September. Devi currently sells her accessories at high end retailers such at Barneys New York and Saks Fifth Avenue and hopes that her newest venture experiences the same success.

Ranging in prices from $20-$50, the collection will be released on July 15, alongside the spunky Libertine collection. Her bags are sleek, streamlined and cheap! Well, cheap compared to the prices of her self-titled collection (upwards of $200 for the tiniest clutch). I've got eyes for that bronze tote - step off!

Think of handbag designer Devi Kroell as Chloe's or Miu Miu's exotic little sister. The line's namesake spent her formative years jumping between Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, France, and Italy, and as a result, her look is at once very far-flung and highly luxurious.

Adorned with bold, simple hardware, Kroell's minimalist bags are constructed out of python, anaconda, and other reptilian skins in a bazaar of bright colors. You can buy the bags online at Barneys and select Nordstrom stores, and the brand counts Ashlee Simpson, Sienna Miller, Selma Blair, Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and Demi Moore among its fans.
