Wow. It's not every week my faves elicit that response. The holiday party circuit seems to be revving up and it shows in star's styles. Celebrities are letting their guard down and experimenting with silhouettes, textures, frills, and fun - that's what I'm talking about. Camilla Belle exhibited all these with her futurama Alexander McQueen frock; it nearly took my breath away. Pale Casadei heels and Cartier jewels topped her off. Believe me, if I could afford Diane's divine Chanel Couture dress, I would swoop it up in a heartbeat. Sigh, back to life, back to reality. Oh say can you see Diane looking amazing?! This girl has style that keeps on giving. Last night, she looked flawless at the Courage in Journalism Awards in Beverly Hills. Her silver strapless J. Mendel dress has the right amount of pouf and her Lanvin clutch just enough wildness. A delicate rhinestone necklace, layered bracelets, and ankle-strap black sandals make Diane even more divine.

Diane Kruger was the host. Jason Wu, the designer. Jessica Stroup, Amber Heard, Katie Cassidy, and Lily Collins - envious emerging talent - the supporting cast. Neiman Marcus, the venue. A small gathering of some Fab favorites occurred yesterday to preview Wu's feminine cool collection. Normally, I would have you choose the most Fab, but, honestly, they all looked awesome in the designer's spunky dresses and ladylike separates. Why did Diane host? Easy: she loves Jason Wu. She compares him to Chanel - his clothes span generations. As well, his creations are "sexy yet traditional." Well said Diane, go behind the seams!

The Hollywood Awards Gala, the first event of award season, summoned a star-studded cast in LA last night. Charlize Theron, Zooey Deschanel, Diane Kruger, Julianne Moore, and Kate Beckinsale all livened up the red carpet with their chic ensembles. Charlize and Kate opted for slimming black, Diane looked angelic in white, and Zooey and Julianne coated themselves in color. Take a good look and decide who's most Fab.

I have to admit there's a lot of fashion's favorite color - black - in this week's favorites. But, to keep things lively, there's also a daring red Versace gown and a gorgeous teal draped Vionnet dress. It's a pretty well-rounded bunch, actually. But the crown goes to Anne Hathaway, who we haven't seen in a while, in her party-ready Marc Jacobs Resort dress. And check those big, bold earrings. Too cute. I've heard friends say they're one of those things that are fun in theory, but dicey in reality. And don't plain black tights seem so . . . boring?
