A red carpet without jewelry is like a candy store without, well, candy. Large earrings may be making their mark in the fashion world, but that doesn't mean statement necklaces are over. No, no. In fact, a handful of ladies strutted the red carpet in necklaces that beautifully complemented their gowns and elevated their looks. Amy Adams (in Fred Leighton), Taraji Henson, and Amanda Seyfried's necklaces had the most wow of the night, but Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard also decked their necks out. Source

Screen Actors Guild Awards Trend Alert: Halter Queens

Halter queens infiltrated the red carpet tonight. Actresses like January Jones (left), Penelope Cruz, Olivia Wilde, Diane Lane, Jane Krakowski, Julia Ormond and newcomer Freida Pinto, all wore different colors and patterns, but they had one thing in common: Halter necklines. January's Andrew Gn halter dress was one of the most eye-catching. Other halter styles came in reds, periwinkles, chiffons, velvet, and white. Check them out.

Fashion sure has a dark side lately with trends like studs, zippers and now snake motifs. These slithering creatures have found their way onto jewelry, handbags and even dresses - they sure are sneaky. I do admit I loved Jennifer Hudson's little gold snake on her Roberto Cavalli dress at the Grammys. And let's not forget the original femme fatale, Cleopatra, was a huge fan. While I would rather don this motif sexily around my wrist, for you more daring girls out there here are a few options.

Debra stepped out like Wonder Woman at Saks's 10th Annual Key to the Cure charity kick-off party. Literally. Last night's episode of The Hills left me semi irked at mean girl Lauren, but I'll put that aside because I heart the feminine Diane von Furstenberg polka-dot top she sported at Katsuya Sushi. Brody and Frankie went ultra cas(ual) in T-shirts, while LC channeled a naughty Sandra Dee. Though a a legging with sheen can be super sexy, I'm not so sure a classic girl like Lauren can pull it off. What do you say?

Pantene Goes to Beautiful Lengths

Lots of cosmetics companies are making adorable pink products to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. But the always-reliable Pantene haircare brand is helping the cancer-research cause year-round. In July, it launched the Beautiful Lengths campaign, when spokeswoman Diane Lane chopped off her locks live on the Today Show. Now, through a partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Pantene is encouraging women to grow out their hair and donate it, so that it can be used to make wigs for cancer survivors. The hair company also donated an impressive $1 million to the EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund, which supports research and helps women suffering from cancer.
