Did you know that it takes $1.7 million dollars a day to operate St. Jude Children's Research Hospital? Even more astounding is the fact that no child is ever denied treatment regardless of his or her family's financial situation. Recently, Lancôme flew a group of online beauty editors (including myself) down to Memphis to visit St. Jude where we not only experienced a truly inspiring look behind the daily goings-on at the hospital, but interacted with the kids firsthand. What I found to be most touching, however, was the unbreakable spirit of the patients; children who are being treated for the unimaginable: pediatric cancer or other catastrophic illnesses. Jessica Simpson Is a Splash of Blonde and Black For a New Orleans JS Collection Event

Jessica Simpson stepped out in another black ensemble to promote the Jessica Simpson collection at a Dillard's in New Orleans Saturday. Jessica was traveling solo this time, though last weekend she had fiancé, Eric Johnson, along for her Jessica Simpson Collection mall appearance in San Francisco. Jessica's always expanding her eponymous collection, and now she's once again expanding into the cosmetics world with the launch of StyleMint's new spin-off BeautyMint. Jessica's yet to reveal much in terms of wedding plans, and she hasn't responded to the latest round of pregnancy rumors. Her loose-fitting dress won't do much to quiet the reports, but whether or not Jessica and Eric want to confirm or deny she looked quite happy to pose with a pint-sized baby fan at today's event.
