Paris Fashion Week is the creme de la creme of all fashion events. New York had its highlights; London wowed me with its revived schedule; and Milan is always beautiful, but Paris? Undeniably thrilling.

Jennifer Garner attended The Invention of Lying premiere at the TIFF looking quite spectacular in a green tiered dress by Oscar de la Renta dress and Casadei sky-high taupe platform pumps — sizzle. The hue goes great against her brunette locks and I like how metallic silver accessories increase her sparkle. Indeed, this look is quite different from her usual playtime ensembles and I like it!

TheOutnet.com has some stiff competition coming its way. London's Browns boutique just launched its version of discount shopping with a subsite called LabelsforLess. The name says it all: the new site stocks an abundance of designer clothes and accessories — from Christian Louboutin, Marni, and Donna Karan — marked up to 70 percent off.

One might see this picture as a scrambled abstract but not Historie Girl. She pulled inspiration from the geometric pattern and created a striking Victorian-inspired ensemble. Her color choices are spot-on and I can't take my eyes off those Dries van Noten canvas and leather sandals.

It's been a while since we've featured Kelly Ripa strolling the streets of New York, hasn't it? Lucky for us, the paparazzi snapped her walking through SoHo, wearing a black-and-white striped skirt by Dries van Noten. Her navy scoop tank is the perfect pairing because it adheres to the chic black-and-blue trend.

I don't know where Maria Sharapova went last night, but it must have been a helluva swanky party. The tennis star has once again impressed with her spot-on fashion sense. The cobalt cutout Thakoon dress gives her look a major jolt, while the chunky silver Dries van Noten necklace adds more pizazz.

Dries continues to deliver just the right thing at just the right time. While others are delivering dark, moody collections, or '80s overload, Dries welcomed a saturated sportswear inspired by the paintings of Francis Bacon. The designer noted, "Bacon’s subjects are disturbing, but so, also, his use of color is disturbing.” The result is muted tones against vivid chartreuse, pumpkin, periwinkle, and saffron.

The opposing force of Luxotica is Geo Max. For the rare days I'm not feeling like an island girl and want to be serious, graphic prints, stripes, 3-D shapes, and polka dots will modernize my look. Most of these equations came in black and white, with the occasional blue, but one of my favorite Spring collections — Dries Van Noten — delivered it in marigold.

Confession: I'm not the sharpest when it comes to finance. Don't get me wrong, I know the basics, thanks to SavvySugar, but I want to learn more about investing my hard-earned money. To help point me in the right direction, a friend suggested I attend a personal finance seminar.
