Shampoo Without a Shower

Even when it's been shampooed that very morning, hair can often end up greasy and limp by the end of a long day. But if you need to freshen up for a night out on the town, you might not want to put your hair through another shampoo. For a quick pick-me-up, try spraying your 'do with Klorane Extra Gentle Dry Shampoo. The tonic feels and works very much like hairspray. You just spritz a little bit on the area you want to clean, leaving a sort of powdery layer on your hair. After letting the shampoo set for a couple of minutes, shake out the hair with your fingers or run through it with a good hairbrush. I used the product to spot-clean my bangs the other night before heading out to a bar: Not only did the greasy, lifeless look instantly disappear, but my hair looked clean and bouncy for hours. The Quest for the Perfect Shampoo

Shampoo, like facial cleanser, is something I am constantly trying to figure out. Since my hair is highlighted, I want to make sure I take good care of my investment!

My latest find is Propoline Shampoo. It preserves my color as well as gives my thick, straight- as-a-board hair great volume.

Until recently, I never understood the appeal of tinted moisturizers. To me, this product, which combines foundation and moisturizer into one, seemed to suffer from the shampoo-plus-conditioner problem-that is, they were neither good moisturizers nor good concealers. All of the ones I tried just dried out my face and left my skin looking very uneven.

Jonathan Antin Gets Ionic on Us!

I recently found out that Jonathan Antin, founder and creator of Jonathan Product, and the star of the TV reality show Blow-Out, is releasing a new hair care line called Ionic Balance.

The idea is to help treat those with damaged, super dry and over-processed hair. The key ingredients are tourmaline and amethyst which are believed to help fight frizz, increase circulation to the scalp and roots of the hair and add shine. The line is comprised of a four step process which begins with an: IB Purifier Anti-Aging Restorative Shampoo, $24, Conditioner, $28, an IB Shield Humidity Lock-Out Shine Spray, $32 and an IB Revitalizer Overnight Oil Treatment Spray, $44.

Everything is extremely light and all the products are vegan and sulfate free. The first product to be launched will be the Shield (later this month) and everything else will be released in his salon and online in August.

Shea Butter: Mmm Mmm Good For Your Skin

OK ladies. It's winter time - time to moisturize! Here's one of my winter skin staples...

There is no doubt shea butter is good stuff. It has soothing, moisturizing and protecting effects. It displays a protecting role against UV rays - it is an asset against skin aging.
