Fashion Week just ended, and now it's time for the real fun to start. All over the world, stylists, celebrities, and savvy peeps will be taking what they saw at the shows and translating it into real-life, wearable looks. Ecco Domani's 2010 Winners Announced

The Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation is toasting the new year with a fresh crop of winners. Prabal Gurung, Joseph Altuzarra of Altuzarra, Ross Menuez of Salvor Projects, and Phillipe Rollano and David Trujillo of The Blonds swooped up the prizes in the women's category. The men's accolade went to Siki Im, and Irini Arakas of Prova got the award for accessories. Last but not least, John Patrick of Organic won the new sustainable design category. Each winner will receive $25,000 to go toward his/her Fall collection.

The winners will show off their lusty designs in the first-ever Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation runway show - which will also feature a documentary about the foundation and the winners - at New York Fashion Week on Feb. 15. Congrats to all!

The recipients of Ecco Domani's 2009 Fashion Foundation awards have been announced. The womenswear category winners are Lyn Devon, Matthew Ames, Cushnie et Ochs by Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, and Ohne Titel by Alexa Adams and Flora Gill. Corpus, by Jerrod Cornish and Keith Richardson, took the honor in menswear, and jeweler Monique Péan received the prize in the accessories group.

In addition, Bodkin Brooklyn designers Eviana Hartman and Samantha Pleet were granted an inaugural award for sustainable design. Each emerging label will receive a $25,000 grant towards their show at NY Fashion Week in February. They join the list of past beneficiaries, which includes Alexander Wang, Zac Posen, and Rodarte. Congratulations to all - we can't wait to see more from these talented designers!

2011 Fall New York Fashion Week: Altuzarra

Last year's Ecco Domani winner Joseph Altuzarra knows what modern women want: to be cool and sophisticated at the same time. If that's your fashion mission, read on. For Fall '11, the designer managed to marry oversize fur parkas with the silkiest of frocks, tweed skirts with chunky sweaters, military-inspired pieces with preppy argyle. It was juxtaposition at its most fabulous. Deep hues like maroon and olive green kept the scene very serious, while thigh-revealing side slits and sheer fabrics added a major dose of sexy. Military meets sexy meets preppy meets cool - I can't think of a better mashup.

Trends: Fur parkas, long, asymmetrical hemlines, argyle.
Colors: Deep red, brown, olive green, brown.
Key Looks: Print dress with oversize parka; chunky ivory turtleneck sweater with tweed pencil skirt.
