After much speculation on who would replace Marco Zanini at Halston, the brand has finally chosen its new successor: Marios Schwab. The London-based designer will take over in July and will unveil his first collection, for Fall 2010, in February. "While Halston's DNA is crucial to its future success, I very much wish to move the brand forward and make it relevant for today," said Schwab.

Fab loves vintage, eBay loves vintage, and now American Apparel loves it, too. The LA-based company opened its first vintage store, California Vintage, on Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park. It sells hand-picked clothing from the 1950s through the 1990s, along with American Apparel pieces that may not be available at the regular stores.

As part of its very stunning Legacy Collection, Coach is getting into the cashmere game. The leather-goods maker partnered with high-end Italian sweater brand Lutz & Patmos to create cardigans, mufflers, and other cashmere pieces that echo the multi-colored striped handbags in Coach's 65th anniversary collection. The cardigans even have leather trim and turn-lock closures.
