A lot of stylish hotties were present at the Whip It premiere in LA last night, but one in particular caught my eye - Ellen Page. The young star stepped out of her fashion shell and donned a tough, yet sleek, grommet embellished LBD by Alexander Wang - she's totally on trend with those sheer sleeves. To further her funk, Ellen wore hardcore cutout booties by Rachel Comey, layered chains, and a studded clutch.

2008 MTV Movie Awards Trend Alert: I've Been a Bad, Bad Girl

There were the goodie two shoes of the MTV Movie Awards and then there were the bad girls. Or well, wannabe bad girls. Guess which group can kick the asses of the other? You guessed right. There were a handful of bad girls dressed to kick in black, stilettos, and attitudes, but my favorites, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Charlize Theron, were the leaders of the pack. From Anne's black liquid Sophia Kokosalaki dress to SJP's white witch-inspired boots, to Charlize's sexy superhero getup, these ladies made it clear to not mess with them. Bad girl power!

2008 MTV Movie Awards: Ellen Page

We've seen Ellen Page in menswear-inspired outfits, but this one is by far the most boyish. On any other red, or gold, carpet, it wouldn't be appropriate to wear sneakers, but since it's MTV, it works. She definitely could have picked a less disheveled outfit, but it's her thing and she's sticking to it! Are you on her side?

Oscars Trend: Knockout Necklaces

While many chose to let the gowns speak for themselves and go with bare necks on the red carpet, these ladies were rocking knockout necklaces. From Nicole Kidman's dramatic icicle-like layered necklace to Jennifer Gardner's choker, all of these ladies had a little, or a lot, of frosting on their necks.

Best Actress nominee Ellen Page is so darn cute. If she was going to wear black I wish it would have been my Marc Jacobs pick instead of this vintage Jean Louis Scherrer. Oh well. What do you think?

Who Wore It Better? Menswear at the Independent Spirit Awards

I couldn't pass this one up. Ellen Page and Javier Bardem both showed up to the Independent Spirit Awards in black suits, untucked white button-downs, and skinny black ties. The only difference was in the shoes - Javier went with trainers, while Ellen rocked ballet flats. Who wore menswear better?!

My Oscars Red Carpet Wish List, Part I

Yay - the Oscars are actually happening! Every day I am thankful I get to dissect what celebrities are wearing, but the Oscars is like being a kid in a candy store. You know who my red-carpet favorites are - Cate Blanchett, Diane Kruger, Keira Knightley - and I love being surprised. Every year I hope for some daring choices, good or bad. Hey, at least people are taking risks right?

Ever since I saw Dolce & Gabbana's paint-splattered ball gown I thought, "Oh my God, somebody has to wear that to the Oscars." I doubt anyone will, but I think Penelope could pull it off. She isn't afraid of drama and color, and with a subdued updo this would be the grandest of looks. And I couldn't stop there - check out my Oscars red-carpet wish list!

Ellen Page chose a safe Zac Posen LBD for the Screen Actors Guild Awards but she's been slowly breaking out of her fashion shell since then. First she wore an emerald green Zac Posen and now she fused edgy with girlie at an Oscar luncheon. Stripes aren't new on the scene but I applaud her ability to look put together but still at ease. I also like how she paired open-toe sandals to soften up the look. A couple more red-carpet appearances and she'll be a fashionista to be reckoned with. Her posing skills are a whole other story!

Screen Actors Guild Awards: Ellen Page

Newcomer Ellen Page could have picked any of Zac Posen's glorious frocks but she chose a black LBD from the designer. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent dress, but not quite dazzling enough for such a big awards show. How do you feel about it?
