Fab Finding Follow Up: Fashion Show and Luncheon

Last week I shared with you some exciting news - I've been asked to model in a fashion show for a local boutique. As you can imagine, I'm beyond ecstatic. What's more, there's a fun little luncheon afterwards for all the models and attendees. I want to make a good impression so I enlisted your fashion help, and of course, you delivered.

She missed the dress rehearsal, so when it came time for K. Morgan to walk the runway and take her final bow, the designer misstepped and made the ultimate fashion faux pas. Fortunately, her disappearing act resulted in no injuries, excluding a bruised ego, and her showing at Charleston Fashion Week was a hit! Hee, hee.

Natalie Portman and Dakota Fanning posed together before taking their front-row seats at Rodarte's NY Fashion Week presentation this afternoon. Also on hand to see Rodarte's 2012 collection were Maria Sharapova and George Lucas. Natalie's back home on the East Coast after a stint in LA, where she attended the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes. Last year, Natalie was a big award season winner for Black Swan, and she's finally lining up her first post-Oscar projects. Apparently, Natalie's involved in two Terrence Malick movies, Knight of the Cups and Lawless, which will film this Summer and Fall.

Bright Idea: the Gilded Lids at Betsey Johnson

This Fashion Week has been exceptional for its eye makeup, but the creative use of oversized gold glitter on lids at the Betsey Johnson show was easily a standout. Instead of overwhelming eyes with lots of chunky glitz or shimmer, the makeup artists instead used just a few strategically placed flecks of gold to accentuate the shapes of models' eyes. Combined with bright gold liner in the inner corners and v-shaped taupe shadow to define the crease and lash line, it was a little bit Studio 54 and a lot unexpected glamour. Plus, it's the kind of edgy but alluring look that's actually achievable at home. So next time you're going out with the girls, keep this golden idea in mind.

Rachel Zoe Totes Skyler in Style as She Makes the NYFW Rounds

Rachel Zoe had her son Skyler in her arms as the pair returned to their NYC hotel yesterday. Rachel bundled him up in a knit hat and sweater while she rocked a fur coat and shades. The duo stayed close during a break from the NYFW festivities, but she was back out on the town later in the evening to claim a front-row seat at her longtime friend Marc Jacobs's runway presentation. It's been a busy few days in the Big Apple for Rachel and her family. On Saturday, she debuted her Fall 2012 Rachel Zoe collection, and on Sunday, she hit up several of her fellow designers' shows. Rachel was backstage at Diane von Furstenberg and at Derek Lam, where her husband Rodger Berman joined her for a few photos. We caught up with the stylist during the latter show. Rachel shared her cold weather styling tips with us as well as her advice for looking chic on the go.
