Maria! In Acapulco, Mexico, no less. Check out model Mariacarla Boscono at the Acapulco Moda Nextel press conference-looking Summer glam in a wide(r) brim hat and gold brocade dress. And you know what? I realized that a shorter-rim hat doesn't provide as much sun protection as a floppy or wider-brim fedora. So may I suggest a super-chic, super coverage hat for long Summer days? Maria's fedora still manages to be menswear cool . . . follow her lead and pair it with a glamorous dress for optimum decadence.

I'm starting to develop a teeny bopper girl crush on Ashley Tisdale. What can I say? The High School Musical star is quite a little cutie in her trendy LA warm-weather looks. Earlier, she perfectly exemplified the beauty of an elongated cardi. She's wearing some favorites here: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, fedora, a macho watch, Louis Vuitton bag, Havaianas flip-flops. But what sets this apart is the colored bra underneath her all-white ensemble, which is a styling technique I personally partake in.

This Week's Fab Favorite: May Andersen

I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. Not in Danish model May Andersen who looked perfect shopping in NYC this week, but in the Couture week attendees. No one really stood out as a Fab favorite of the week. And so, the crown goes to this utterly cool and comfy model and her all-black fit.

It is a bit trendy - the romper, the fedora, Ray Bans, studded flat sandals - but all of these trends suit the model's whatever attitude. I also like that she's incognito. She looks perfectly at ease walking down the street, Milk shopping bag in tow (I wonder what she bought?), chatting on her cell. The accessories are dope: black and cream fedora, black leather Chanel bag, stacked black and gold bracelets. Her bracelets actually match her shoes - an interesting touch. The next time you're debating what to wear on a perfectly sunny day fit for errands, fit yourself like May.

Reese Witherspoon ditched her usually classic ensembles for something a bit more multifaceted, and I'm proud of her for expanding her horizons. While out and about with boyfriend Jake, the actress wore an airy black jersey dress, a cropped red cardigan, and accessorized with studded Tod's sandals and a woven Bottega bag. It seems more and more actresses are bringing the fedora back. Since it took a long, much-needed break, a comeback was in order.

Paris, oh Paris - did you get dressed in the dark? You all know that I despise matchy matchiness and this is precisely why. I can't believe that she voluntarily wore this ensemble for a night out in LA. There are several issues at hand. First, fedoras are a thing of the past. Second, the head-to-toe brown makes her look like a long piece of...kebab.

Paris should have kept the sequin tank and leopard pumps, but done away with the rest. A pair of Kate Moss' favorite J Brand Lovestory jeans and a simple bronze clutch would have made for a far more stylish and flattering look.

Who's That Girl?

On Monday, I was playing PopSugar's Guess Who? when I mistook Nicky Hilton (left), clad in an off-white fedora, for Ashlee Simpson. On Tuesday, again, I played Guess Who? and swore Carmen Electra (center), wearing a similar fedora, was Ashlee. That got me thinking, "When did Ashlee, Nicky and Carmen, three very distinct girls, become triplets?" They have the same hair, disheveled clothes and are all practically living in their fedoras these days. To Ashlee's credit, she's the first one who sported the long, stringy hair and the fedora. These girls need to stop morphing into one another - it's confusing and utterly unoriginal. Are you with me?
