I know it's a demeaning classic, but have you ever read The Stepford Wives? The book is pretty good and a very quick read. I read it after I saw the remake movie version with Nicole Kidman, then I rented the '75 original.

Had they been silver, these Burberry Leather Gloves ($450) would of gone perfect with my femme bot Halloween costume. I can see them adding a fun punch of metallic to a sleek winter outfit but I'm worried it might look tacky. Do you have the King Midas touch or are these gloves a no-go?

Upon watching this video for the hundredth time, I realized it had a direct influence on my love for theatrical fashion. This early 90s video is another one of George Michael's brilliant contributions to the world and I was in awe at first viewing.
The cast: Linda (my all time fave), legs-for-days Nadja Auermann, Estelle Lefébure, Emma Sjöberg, a budding Tyra (in a green showgirl getup), Spanish actress with her standout nose Rossy de Palma, and the always beautiful Beverly Peele.

I had a feeling that since it was the Grammys we would be treated to some over the top fashions and I was right! The first trend I noticed off the bat was glitterati. Everyone was sparkling!

The talk of fashion town is the extreme difference between the two over-arching trends for Spring 2007. The first one being Romanza and the second one being Intergalactic Planetary. Femme bots dominated the runways in a major way, with nods to fashion legends Paco Rabanne and Andre Courreges.
