Francisco Costa took the brand's signature minimalism to a sexy place for Spring 2012. There were whisper-thin slip dresses that hugged the body, done in black or nude tones, and suiting cut to show a hint of lingerie. This is the first time the American house chose one model for all three brands: Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein Jeans, and ck Calvin Klein. Go Lara! "I have a long history with the Calvin Klein brand, and so it was wonderful to work with the house again this year. It’s like being part of a family," said the model. As for creative director Francisco Costa's feelings? "For me, Lara was the perfect choice for the new campaign because she is a woman who epitomizes confidence and sensuality." We'll second that. 2010 Spring: Calvin Klein, CK Jeans, and CK Underwear

Clean. Precise. Minimal. Three terms Calvin Klein wants you to use when describing its Spring '10 collection. Staying true to the house's less-is-more aesthetic, Francisco Costa has delivered a line of basics with a sexy utilitarian nature. You'll find organic fabrics and most colors of the rainbow: sand, white, and khaki as staples, canary, melon, poppy, fuchsia, turquoise, and cobalt as accents. Drawstring cargos, denim vests, fitted blazers, parkas, denim judo pants, and shirt dresses are all solid. But one print piece stands out as the cool black sheep: a black-and-white, tie-dye dress that's feminine and bold.

Swimsuits are also part of the Spring family - a two-piece in warm gray and a one piece in solid gray or gray Bengal print. The handbags are equally minimal; hobos, totes, and rounded clutches are smooth and unstructured, with gold and silver hardware. Wooden-stacked heels and flat sandals are au naturel and sporty.

Katie and the Women of Hollywood Celebrate With Elle

The Elle Women in Hollywood Awards brought out some of the town's biggest names last night. The ceremony was held to coincide with the magazine's similarly themed upcoming issue, and cover girl Katie Holmes hit the cream carpet to show her support. Apparently Suri helped Katie select her all-black outfit, and the proud mom even opened up about their adventures in Boston. Katie commented that, "She loves clothes and picks out her own. . . . She loves running and she loves dancing." Cat Deeley and Robin Wright also opted for dark dresses, while Renee Zellweger, Diane Kruger, and Emily Blunt lightened things up a bit.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski made another appearance together after their weekend trip to the Mill Valley Film Festival, as the happy engaged couple gets more comfortable stepping out side by side. She said a few words onstage before posing for photos with the evening's host, Alec Baldwin. Renee Zellweger flashed a big smile, perhaps due to her romantic few days in Vancouver with Bradley Cooper. Robin Wright mingled with Benicio del Toro, as the ladies got together to enjoy fun company and champagne.

Stars and Designers Mix and Mingle at Their CFDA Dinner Party

After the CFDA Awards red carpet last night the gorgeous group sat down for dinner and the award ceremony at the New York Public Library. There were big smiles all around from Ashley Olsen and Eva Mendes cozying up to Francisco Costa to Eva Longoria giggling with Tom Ford. Victoria Beckham was just excited to kick back and relax after taking the stage to present the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award, saying, "I always get so nervous. I'm rubbish, absolutely rubbish at doing things like that. I just glad it's over and done with. I've sung in front of millions of people but when it comes to doing something as simple as talking, I completely go to pieces."

Fab Flash: Prada, Calvin Klein Reveal Celebrity Guests to Costume Institute Gala

As the biggest singular fashion event of the year approaches - The Met's Costume Institute Gala on May 5 - designers have already started to announce which celebrities they are bringing as guests.

Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein revealed that he is dressing Fergie and Liv Tyler - no surprise there, since he's brought Liv to the event the past couple of years. He hinted that Fergie and Liv weren't his only two guests, but wouldn't name any more names.

Meanwhile, Miuccia Prada has invited recent Oscar-winner Tilda Swinton and actress Elizabeth Banks to accompany her.

Remember, this year the Gala's theme is superheroes, so it will be interesting to see how much the attendees play into that. I can't wait!

Ashley And Lance Both Celebrate The New New Museum

The New Museum in NYC celebrated its grand reopening last night, co-hosted by Calvin Klein and attended by some lovely ladies...and Lance Armstrong. I don't want to make any assumptions (yes I do), but Ashley and Lance at the same party - where Mr. Armstrong could seem out of place - methinks more dating rumors are close behind. Ali Larter was there and showing off her bod in a sheath dress - hey, she's definitely got it. Julianne Moore, on the other hand, went for something a little less form fitting while Maggie looked great in winter white. Really though, I can pretend to care about the other people at the party, but I really want to know what happened with Lance and Ashley once they got inside...

New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Calvin Klein

The Calvin girl for Spring is quite a will-'o-the-wisp. The collection was very ephemeral and barely there, and the cuts were of the essential Calvin Klein persuasion. There were no frills, no muss, just clean, minimal pieces.

Pretty watered-down shades of blue, pink, yellow, gray, nude, and white, along with a few green pieces formed designer Francisco Costa's color palette. Everything was pure and fresh, from the green calf-length shift dress to the cream kimono-inspired jacket.

The essence of Calvin is here to stay, and I'm not going to complain - it's so elegant! I'm loving the streamlined look for Spring, it's so effortless.
