Trend Alert: Fuzzy Vests

Rachel Zoe lives in them, Kate Moss dabbles in them and I kinda want to give one a whirl. When cold weather comes a knockin' anything fuzzy nurtures the style soul. If you don't want a full on fur jacket or coat, a fuzzy vest can nip that cold in the bud. These look Fab atop both flared or skinny jeans, but boots are a must to elevate the boho look.

A Fabby Halloween: Wild Thing

Every little kid, and big kid, is excited for Spike Jonze's film adaption of the endearing book Where The Wild Things Are. Opening Ceremony may possibly be the most stoked, its Wild Thing collection is awesome. The film releases soon - Oct. 16 - and I realized it's an easy, adorable, fabulously fuzzy Halloween idea. You may already have some furry boots or a fur vest, and really, the furrier the better. Add some spiked jewelry and tribal touches and go wild.

Elizabeth and James's Fall Chill

It's all about Peter Pan and London life for Elizabeth and James. For Fall, Ashley and Mary-Kate are showcasing their men's line as well as their footwear collection in their imagery. I spy oversize blazers, worn-in stripes, lingerie-like florals, the perfect minimal black pants, and a saucy pair of sculptured shows for the girls. For the boys, we have rugged henleys, vests, and handsome toppers. Over at Off the Rack, we see more of the Liz/James crew and I spy some Victorian black getups and a Fab fuzzy jacket. I Love Your ShopStyle: Winter Wonderland

Nothing alludes to wintertime better than a warm, quaint fireplace. This week, The Green Dove takes us to a Winter Wonderland, complete with the coziest pieces out there. Fuzzy bags, snowflake sweaters, sock boots, and house slippers are all in the bunch. My favorite, though, is the Express Gray Faux Fur Vest ($118, originally $168). It's one of the most luxurious ways to bundle up right now.

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Oscar de la Renta

As always, Oscar was all sophistication and elegance. The models trotted out to a live performance by Regina Spektor, who crooned and played a grand piano in the background. Full taffeta and tulle skirts swished by, ornately embellished - all with grandeur.

At times, the checkerboard tweed overcoats, shimmering skirt suits, and vivid silks were so beautiful I found myself subconsciously holding my breath. Fuzzy fur toques, beaded shearling vests, and rich jewel colors hinted at a Russian influence. Oodles of dresses for all occasions, Oscar's specialty, were present: day, cocktail, and gown. They all had one thing in common - the appearance of decadence. Ultimately, that's what Oscar is all about . . . a classic decadence.
