Fab Flash: Designer Collaboration Double Whammy

Y'all ready for this? First, next up for Target GO International: Bing Bang jewelry designer Anna Sheffield. You may recall Anna already teamed up with Urban Outfitters and Bensoni for a couple jewelry collections, word is she's next on the roster at our favorite cheapo retailer. Sweet. In equally awesome news, Macy's is jumping on the designer collaboration train. The retail giant tapped Rachel Roy to create an exclusive line dubbed Rachel Rachel Roy. According to the designer, "This line is the younger sister to the Rachel Roy collection. It has the same designer sensibility but with a younger feeling." The line includes clothing and accessories - my eye is already on these colorful lace-up oxford booties. Product will hit stores in August, and a new retail concept is being applied. Roy's sister collection will be displayed in pop-up sections within Macy's with unique fixtures, separate from everything else. Smart - this way, you can't miss it. And you don't want to miss it. By the looks of it, Roy delivered her eclectic ladylike vision to the new endeavor; fur vests, artsy prints, rich embellishments, and playful separates make up the mix.

Sneak Peek! Tracy Feith For Target

A while back, we told you surfer dude Tracy Feith was set to design a Target collection, and that he did. For Spring, Feith is offering up a sweet collection filled with vintage-inspired bikinis, dresses, and tops. I like the mixture of '60s flower power prints, ruffles, and mod shift dresses. To add some toughness, Feith embellished with large zippers, and even supplied us with some slick faux leather jackets. My favorite piece has to be that adorable black blouson jumper. By the way, doesn't Allie from The City look adorable? Items arrive in stores and online May 17.

Sneak Peek! Target Go International Private Label 5 Collection

I was just professing my love for Target and now Go International's Private Label 5 collection has arrived. The Target gods must be listening. All of the retailer's past lines have excited me, but this one I'm willing to push and shove for. While with past collections I've coveted only a few items, I nearly want all of the pieces in this latest one. Starting February, you'll find me at my local Target buying the black draped jumpsuit, the punchy floral mini skirt, the sassy one-shoulder floral dress, a corset-style top, a sleeveless ruffle cardigan, and perhaps more. Check out the collection in its entirety and tell me which pieces you have dibs on.

Sneak Peek: Sigerson Morrison and Anya Hindmarch's Target Goods

Target hit us with a double whammy announcing two exclusive designer collaborations that launch Oct. 12: the illustrious shoe duo Sigerson Morrison and the highly acclaimed Anya Hindmarch handbags.

Despite being victim to yet another boutique robbery, handbag designer Anya Hindmarch is still going strong. Her collection for Target, ranging from $20 to $50, stays true to her signature style, and incorporates playful textures and colors such as patent finishes and rich colors. Styles include satchels, shoulder bags, and clutches.

The Sigerson Morrison for Target footwear collection, designed by CFDA award winners Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison, includes a wide array of studded and textured booties, pumps, and flats made in cool metallics and suede. Prices range from $30 to $40.

Sneak Peek! Jonathan Saunders For Target

Target's Go International line is about to see its quirkiest, most avant-garde designs yet thanks to British designer Jonathan Saunders. The news of the collaboration came a few months back and I have no doubt that it excited the fashion-forward crowd. Starting Oct. 5, those who love a little funky in their closet will be able to score art-inspired pieces with splashes of color, modern silhouettes, and unique prints.
For his cheaper collection, ranging from $14.99 to $59.99, Saunders was highly influenced by artists like Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollock, and Rothko (like far left ombre dress, worn by model Hanne Gaby Odiele). If those names mean nothing to you, perhaps a Wikipedia session prior to purchasing would help.
