The line, now available in stores and online, features Spring's bold tropic prints trend, Parisian stripes, delicate eyelet details, and throwback prints in a bevy of silhouettes. "There are styles to suit everyone including vintage-inspired triangle tops and pushup balconets along with flirty skirted bottoms and fun, flattering one pieces," said Gap's vice president of GapBody design, Mireille Gindrey. "The collection is very playful with its black and white polka dot print and retro accents, but it’s also very wearable with features like removable pads and convertible straps." First Look! Gap Shows Cool Classics For Its Fall 2012 Collection

Gap just previewed its Fall 2012 collection, and we're happy to report that the brand is heading back to its cool classic style. Staying true to its Americana roots, the brand created a covetable collection filled with must-have basics - with a refreshing twist. Tailored wool blazers were dipped in rich autumnal hues, sweaters were embellished with thoughtful suede elbow patches, and classic khakis and denim were translated into slouchy, modern silhouettes. Meanwhile, statement pieces, like printed trousers and dotted denim shirts, provided a novelty touch to the line. We especially loved the white long-sleeve shirtdress (perfect for Winter layering) and cute accessories via cozy scarves, wedge sandals, and colored ballet flats.
