Do Care Instructions Deter You From Buying Clothes?
They certainly have. I can't be bothered with high-maintenance items.

Something about viewing go-see Polaroids of models seems invasive, but cool. It's almost like getting a sneak peek of your favorite models in the comfort of their own home, without tons of makeup, without all the serious posing. For those who aren't familiar with modeling jargon, a go-see is an appointment arranged by the model or her agency as an opportunity to interview with clients.

Lily Donaldson and Gemma Ward make doing laundry look glamorous, but for those of us in the real world, it's anything but. Designer ads are getting more and more colorful, and it's making me want to skip Winter and jump straight to Spring. Take Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2008 ads featuring Gemma Ward, Lily Donaldson, and Jessica Stam; they're still very Dolce & Gabbana raw, minus the groping and grinding action. There's something ultra cool about swan-like models clad in luxurious fabrics lounging in a shabby art warehouse.

The inaugural issue of Vogue India hit stands today, featuring Bollywood stars Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, local supermodels MoniKangana Dutta and Laxmi Menon, and Australian supermodel Gemma Ward all on the cover, shot by fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.
This new edition of Vogue is expected to be more colorful and more vibrant than the western models, according to Alex Kuruvilla, managing director of Conde Nast India. He also expects it to draw attention to Indian designers, Indian photographers, and even Indian models.

I have to say, these ads are pretty intense. Believe it or not, that's Gemma Ward under there. I'm not sure how I feel about the muzzle-like knit on her face - I'm sure it has some underlying meaning, but I don't like the symbolism of a woman being muzzled.
