Model Iman's collaboration with HSN is still going strong but her latest pieces for her Global Chic line have made me take notice. I've never been one to spend a fortune on jewelry, and even if I could afford it, I would still seek out fabulous costume jewelry. If you're like me, be sure to check out Iman's jewels.

Following in Heidi Klum's footsteps, supermodel Iman is becoming even more super — by adding jewelry and accessories to her portfolio.
Her new line, Global Chic, is inspired by African countries, India, and Bali, as well as pieces from her personal collection, including her vintage engagement ring from husband David Bowie. The line will be available HSN.com on Dec.

There's no doubt about it, Mother Nature would be jealous of lebellanina and her hot earth mama wiles! Her dress is called the "Planet Dress," after all, and it's covered with etches of flowers and greenery. But she's not too earthy and crunchy for me: it's all about the Global chic, and lebellanina knows what's up.

The eco-chic bandwagon is getting more and more full and jewelry designer Robyn Rhodes is one of its latest riders. Just in time for Earth Day, Robyn is donating 20 percent of the proceeds of this Rumi necklace, named after model/actress Josie Maran's (left) daughter, to Global Green USA. Depending on the metal you choose (sterling silver or 14K-gold filled), the triple-strand necklace featuring an Amazonite pendant will cost you $120 and $126 respectively.

It's only the first month of the new year but that doesn't mean we can't think ahead to Spring. This Max Studio Silk Voile Skirt ($44, originally $128) is a pretty place to start. It's flouncy, flirty, and a bit global chic.

Bright colors make me happy so I was thrilled to know that you all feel the same emotion! Lanvin spearheaded the return of color this year with its delicious jewel-tone frocks and others followed suit. True, menswear, global-chic, sheerness, and artsy touches were equally prevalent, but they all dimmed next to the return of color.

Trends come and go, but the following stood out this year: the return of color, menswear, sheer bliss, global chic, and art school. Lanvin was one of the designers who spearheaded the revival of bold colors; Ralph Lauren deliciously dabbled in menswear; Calvin Klein went sheer madness; Etro embraced tribal motifs; Diane von Furstenberg attended art school. All these trends have staying power but which do you think is the best new trend of 2007?

Even though I am well into my working years, I still get the back to school feeling around now. I just loved the anticipation of another year of school - who knew what was in store?! Also, I always looked forward to back to school shopping excursions, of course.
