Beautiful Bronze Shimmer Powders

I am taking getting ready for summer pretty darn seriously. With the weather just starting to warm up coupled with the fact that it's Spring now, it's time to get ready for some safe fun in the sun. I've talked about some necessary facial sunscreens, some great new bronzers, a few fab bronzing gels, and now it's time for pretty golden bronzing powders! Here's a look at the latest:

Estee Lauder Loose Shimmer Bronzer, $32.50, will give you a gorgeous and radiant sun-kissed look to your face. It is ultra sheer that is heavily pigmented and has a silky soft finish.

It's oil free (awesome) and feels very light on your skin. Also, this baby doesn't streak when you apply it which is tres fab!

Guerlain Terracotta Khol Loose Powder, $32, is a loose powder packaged quite elegantly in a jewel vial with an application brush included on the inside. Ooh la la!

It is formulated with a high concentration of pigments to create a deep golden glow and will stay put for hours. Available in one color only.

Laura Mercier Shimmer Loose Powder, $34, is a soft shimmery powder that you can use on your face and body. It is made from a super fine powder that glistens on your skin.

It's not orangey looking and if you apply it to the parts of your face where the sun would hit normally - it looks incredibly natural. Enjoy!

Stamps are the newest beauty packaging gimmick these days, but apparently they are all the rage! At first there were blush cheek stamps, but now it seems like they're popping up everywhere. Here are a few fun and easy to use mess free loose powder cheek stamps.

Beauty Byte: Pucci and Guerlain Create Cosmetics

This May, Emilio Pucci is branching out to create a a five unit, limited edition color cosmetics collection created by their sister company Guerlain (who is also owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy). The collection will be available until August in the hopes of increasing both brands' visibility and traditional customer base.

Both companies are ecstatic about the partnership. Laudomia Pucci, image director and daughter of the company founder, Emilio Pucci said:

"In every woman's mind, I think, Guerlain represents a dream brand. It's funny we never did cosmetics before, but I guess we've had other things to do."

The packaging of the makeup was inspired by the famous Pucci print and will appear inside the outer box and on some fabric cases containing the makeup.

The line includes The Eye Set which will sell for $75. In it you get a kohl eyeliner, mascara and a four-color eye shadow palette. Also available are four different lip gloss colors, $29, a blush mousse, $39, Meteorites pressed-powder beads that come in the Pucci scarf colors, $54.60 and a brush needed to apply the powder which sells for $35 separately.

Beauty Spring Peek: Raspberry Pink Lips

Rumor has it raspberry pink lips are going to be hotter than ever for Spring. Just take a look at this cute pink pucker from the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. This vibrant hot pink color is hot off the presses! Raspberry Syrup Pop Gloss 436 by Givenchy, $22.50 is a graffiti inspired color for Spring. It is an exceptionally bright shade in the tube, but it goes on sheer and light. This new color will join the Pop Gloss collection that is set for release in select Saks.com and Sephora.com stores over the next two weeks.

Guerlain KissKiss Laque in Fabulous Rose, $26, is considered a lipstick because of its thorough coverage, yet it has the shine of a gloss and is packaged just like a gloss. It smells delicious (infused with vanilla, red fruits and violet) and it looks uber sophisticated both in the tube and on your lips. This color is vivid, long lasting and provides incredible shine. Oh...and I love the fabulous name!

Trish McEvoy Highlights Lipgloss in Rose, $22, is an old time favorite of mine. It's not too sticky and can be worn alone or over a lipstick for more opaque color. This gloss leaves your lips feeling smooth and looking shiny.

New Mascara Mania, Part II

You didn't think that there were only three new mascaras on the market, did you? With so many to choose from, I could go on forever. Since everyone liked yesterday's New Mascara Mania, Part I post so much, here's a look at a few more amazing new mascaras I love. On the celebrity front, Madonna was snatched up by Dolce & Gabbana - we're hoping she won't look as photoshopped as her previous Louis Vuitton ads.
