Trend Alert: Cool Leather Jackets

Lindsay Lohan loves them. Not impressed? Kate Moss loves them. Not convinced. Madonna loves them. There. They were hot last Fall and it looks like cool leather jackets are here to stay. Some may argue they are a classic, the aforementioned ladies and maybe Slash, but for some the leather jacket is dicey. To prevent from looking too rocker babe or too aggressive, twin one with a feminine slip dress or a ruffled blouse. There, cool babe perfected.

Fab Finding Follow Up: A "Bottom Heavy" Figure

Earlier this week I announced that we decided to make it a priority to address a very important fashion category: dressing for your body type. It would be silly for a fashion magazine, or blog, to think that all women were created equal, body-wise, so we're here to help and answer your questions.

DearSugar recently gave some sound advice to a reader who was a self-proclaimed "bottom heavy" woman. As well, the comments on her post offered even more advice - brava ladies! I started you off with this

Look #2, found by sigmaration is very insightful. She herself is a pear-shaped woman and is 1-2 sizes smaller on top than on bottom. She recommends these Striped Houston uncuffed trouser at Lane Bryant paired with this Twinkle plaid short-sleeved blouse at Lane Bryant; flutter sleeves help balance out wide hips and thighs by balancing out the body. Wardrobe Staple - The Denim Skirt

Like the little denim jacket, the denim skirt is a wardrobe staple that will never go out of style. It can be worn to work (well, some people's work), out at night, on the weekends, running around town, just about anywhere. Denim mini's (along with all miniskirts) are definitey in right now, but so are knee-length styles.

Fall 2006: Bold, Cozy and a Little Bit 80's

While a lot of the Fall fashions won't actually be available in stores for another couple of weeks, we are starting to hear what some of the major trends will be. Some of them I like (dark, rich colors and cozy sweaters!) and some of them make me shudder (leggings and ankle boots?).
