There's the flip-flop, and there's the thong - we're speaking shoes here. Some circles consider either footwear taboo for evening. You can never convince this California girl of that. I mean, just look at model Hana Soukupova in a perfect mini LWD and her sexy thongs. The simple flat sparkly sandals emphasize a laid-back sensibility, while her long tan legs garner full attention. Something about viewing go-see Polaroids of models seems invasive, but cool. It's almost like getting a sneak peek of your favorite models in the comfort of their own home, without tons of makeup, without all the serious posing. For those who aren't familiar with modeling jargon, a go-see is an appointment arranged by the model or her agency as an opportunity to interview with clients. Models are asked to keep their face bare and their clothes simple and form-fitting. That's because designers and magazine editors want to see the real girl, sans all the fluff. Here are a bunch of go-see Polaroids that cast a new light on some of your favorite models, including Gemma Ward (left), Erin Wasson, and Daria Werbowy.

Czech model Hana Soukupova showed her pretty face at Radar Entertainments fashion division launch party. But what I'm more captivated by is her cool black-and-white outfit, complete with a sheer scarf and black leather boots. The tuxedo tank brings in an androgynous air, while her black mini dress shows off her feminine stems. Model perfection, I say!

Black and White and Chanel All Over in NYC

Black and White dominated the red carpet in a major way at Chanel's Nuit de Diamants at The Plaza in NYC last night. Ed Burns and Christy Turlington I think have to win cutest couple, but Ellen and Chris were living up the glam as well. I don't want to say anything, but Gossip boy Penn Badgley looks like he may have tossed back a few before the party. Heh. Both Julia Stiles and Selma Blair kept it classic in black, but achieved very different looks. It was a night of classic beauty all around in Manhattan while color found another place to party for the night.

Model of the Week, Victoria's Secret Edition: Hana Soukupova

Along with Lauren Conrad and Hayden Panettiere, I got a chance to chat with Hana Soukupova at the 12th Annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Born December 18, 1985, this Czech beauty is known for her blue eyes and her long, slender limbs. No wonder she's a VS model! She resides in New York with her husband Drew Aaron and is currently the face of Agnona Fall/Winter '07/'08.

What is your preferred style of panty?
I like boy shorts but it depends on what you wear. Sometimes I wear thongs, sometimes I wear boy shorts.

Model of the Week: Hana Soukupová

It's been a long time since I first spoke with Hana Soukupová, the Czech model who's one of the most in-demand people. While backstage at the Victoria's Secret fashion show, I had a few seconds to talk beauty with her (and of course, Fab got her fashion thoughts).

Even though Hana is about to turn 23, she looks like she could pass for 14. Her delicate facial features are small, and she has a charming girlishness to her. To find out about her beauty routine, and to see a collection of modeling photos,

Do you wear a lot of makeup when you're not working?
When I'm not working, it depends. If I go to a party or event, of course I wear makeup; I like to wear a very smoky eye and glowy, natural makeup. Sometimes I wear red lipstick, sometimes I don't wear lipstick. It depends on how I feel and which mood I'm in. But when I don't work or it's just a regular day, I wear mascara and a little bit of eye shadow.

Do you have any favorite makeup brands?
I love Nars. Chanel is my favorite one. For mascara, I love Maybelline.

You have really pretty skin. [It's true! She does!] What do you do to take care of it?
You know, just regular washing. (Laughs.)

You models always say, "Oh, I don't do anything!"
Yeah, I just wash my face every night and keep it clean. Another thing, for example, if you don't clean your face after-I don't know, from an event-and you don't clean it really well, of course you're going to get bad skin the next day. So you have to really be regular in cleaning every night after you come back home.

What was the moment when you first felt beautiful?
I guess when I went into fashion.

Before that, you didn't know?
I didn't know. You know, I'm from a small town in Czech Republic, and I never thought I could do this, you know? It was like something untouchable for me.

Model of the Week: Hana Soukupova

Welcome to the fourth installment of Model of the Week. I've written a five question interview that I have conducted with several high profile models to share with you. The questions are both fun and beauty related and will always remain the same. Don't forget to check out the past three installments featuring Jessica Stam, Caroline Winberg and Carolyn Murphy.

Here's a little about the up and coming runway model Hana Soukupova. Hana was born in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, on December 18th, 1985. She was a competitive basketball player until she entered the modeling arena through a Prague agency at the age of 15.

Hana has extremely long limbs and a delicate look about her. She has become a huge success over the last five years and continues to work incessantly.

You may recognize her from her campaigns for: Gucci, Jill Stuart, Tse, Carolina Herrera and Versace or from her Vogue, Elle and Bazaar covers. She has also graced the catwalk of many couture runways.

Hana stays in shape and gets rid of stress by hitting a punching bag she had installed in her apartment and she connects with her creative side by taking pottery classes in NYC.

BELLA: What is your secret to beautiful skin and hair?
HS: The best secret for a healthy complexion is an egg white face mask which firms the skin and replenishes your pores. My favorite home made secret for shiny hair is a conditioner made from a spoonful of yogurt, olive oil & lemon. It may seem crazy but I swear it works!

BELLA: What is the one product that you can't live without?
HS: I can't live without my special face cream from Avene which I put on my skin several times a day (probably too often). It can only be purchased in France. Whenever I come back from Paris my bag is full of nothing but the little glass bottles of the cream.

BELLA: What is your guilty pleasure?
HS: Bags! Big or small, new or vintage, you can never have enough purses. They last forever and even after a few seasons you can break them out and re-introduce them.

BELLA: What is your favorite drugstore product?
HS: I love the European beauty and body product shops as they have some things that you cannot buy in a local New York pharmacy. Whenever I am abroad I buy all kinds of different cool products from head to toe they always have something I can’t resist trying.

BELLA: Happiness is...
HS: Happiness is leaving the gym after a great work out, a big breakfast followed by grocery shopping which is truly my favorite hobby. I can spend hours in Whole Foods and do more damage there than in Prada.
