It's been a while since we've heard about former Ungaro creative director Esteban Cortazar. We miss him! The last time, he was designing for Colombian retailer éxito. We already saw the Fall '10 lookbook, now it's time to witness the pieces in action in the ads starring model Hanne Gaby Odiele. They're standout shots - some light and ethereal, some badass black and white. See them all now!

Fab Ad: Alberta Ferretti, Spring '10

Alberta Ferretti's latest ad campaign takes me back to my childhood, when I would frolic in my fairy outfit and colorful braided headband. Only now it's Hanne Gaby Odiele, Kasia Struss, Constance Jablonski, and Dorothea Barth Jörgensen having the fun, and the clothes are way chicer. I love everything about these Steven Meisel shots - the fluid movements, the romantically beautiful dresses, the serene colors. If only I could transport myself to Alberta's fairyland! What do you think?

Fab Ad: Alexander Wang, Spring '10

Take Anja Rubik, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Edita Vilkeviciute, and Liu Wen, dress them in Alexander Wang, color them black and white, and you have one helluva ad campaign. Wang kept shots simple for Spring '10, like with Fall '09, allowing the ambitious styling do the talking. Each girl has one full shot and one closeup - how the clothes would look from afar and up close. And no smiling either, Wang's latest pieces are no laughing matter. Do you dig?

For Fall '09, Missoni enlisted the help of Ryan McGinley - the same photog who shot Stella's playful ad - to create an amazing, windblown masterpiece. The campaign features Hanne Gaby Odiele and her luxurious locks, in Missoni's signature knits. Peep the eye-catching, colorful juxtaposition between the soft knits and black truck. Don't her striped blue cardi and oatmeal leggings look cozy enough to sleep in? I don't know if I'd dare do such a thing, but I'm just sayin'. Thoughts?

Fab Face: Hanne Gaby Odiele

She may not have the most stunning face in fashion, but Hanne Gaby Odiele certainly has one of the most unforgettable. Her delicate, perfectly square face has been popping up all over magazines, advertisements, and runways recently, and I've taken note. The 19-year-old has even nabbed the job of modeling the Jonathan Saunders for Target collection and Rachel Bilson's Edie Rose for DKNY ad. What sets her apart is her childlike innocence, which is so refreshing in a world where young girls try to look old.

It's not obvious from this Vogue Italia editorial, but the Belgian model has blond, often disheveled hair and crystal blue eyes. Her chiseled cheekbones, pouty lips, and subtle cleft in her chin also give her an edge over her competition. Study every inch of Hanne because you will be seeing lots more of her.

Target's Go International line is about to see its quirkiest, most avant-garde designs yet thanks to British designer Jonathan Saunders. The news of the collaboration came a few months back and I have no doubt that it excited the fashion-forward crowd. Starting Oct. 5, those who love a little funky in their closet will be able to score art-inspired pieces with splashes of color, modern silhouettes, and unique prints.
For his cheaper collection, ranging from $14.99 to $59.99, Saunders was highly influenced by artists like Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollock, and Rothko (like far left ombre dress, worn by model Hanne Gaby Odiele). If those names mean nothing to you, perhaps a Wikipedia session prior to purchasing would help.

Derek Lam's new venture, 10 Crosby, has fulfilled its cool-girl status for Fall '12. The third collection from the line, 10 Crosby showed plenty of bold prints, sharp tailoring, and just the right amount of femininity to please every downtown girl. Inspired by the classic holiday flick Home Alone, Lam and design director Liz Giardina envisioned what the 10 Crosby girl would wear on a snowy Winter day. With that thought in mind, the two created silky printed palazzo pants, cozy peplum cardigans, fox-fur vests, and pajama-inspired tops tempered with tailored poplin shirt dresses and sharp trousers.
