Model of the week Lydia Hearst has teamed up with Heatherette designers Traver Rains and Richie Rich to design a collection of handbags for sportswear brand Puma.
The 10 limited-edition Puma Lydia bags, around $100, are inspired by the French 77 Racket Bag. On Tuesday, Lydia (left) proudly modeled two of her bags at a press brunch in NYC.

Two of girls' best friends—in this case, chocolate and fashion—collided at the 9th Annual Chocolate Show, held last Thursday in New York City. Some of the designs were absolutely gorgeous, like the Willy Wonka-inspired masterpiece and vampiric design above. Others, meanwhile, were totally gross—notably, the model with strips of chocolate running down her legs.

With Paris and Nicky Hilton on its runway and two wacky designers behind its fashions, it's no surprise that the Tuesday night show from Heatherette was one of the most buzzed-about events at New York Fashion Week. The models, which also included Mena Suvari and Kelis, strutted out a smorgasbord of styles ranging from lavender and gold lame to leopard and Hawaiian prints to country-club fashions gone a little nutty.
Created by designer duo Traver Rains and Richie Rich, Heatherette's clothes are admittedly off-kilter, but several innovative ideas stood out, including alphabet-print fabrics, voluminous appliques, and some truly creative layering.

But Lydia is more than an heiress. She is a model, an activist, a philanthropist, a socialite and a designer of sorts - she is coming out with a Puma Lydia Handbag in November.

Model of the Week Caroline D'Amore is known in the press as a "Hollywood It Girl" and you may have seen her hanging out with pal Paris Hilton at chic soirees. The 23-year-old grew up in Malibu, California, but she moved to New York City at the age of 17 to pursue a modeling career.
